How would you rate the guys we got?

B

Picks were for sale and we needed help, yet cheap-o Cohan wasn't willing to part with any cash to grab Chalmers or Arthur... we really missed out on some depth.

Great picks though.

I love the picks, but give 'em a B only because they just took players that fell to them. They didn't do anything particularly special or shrewd...

To me, Love woulda been an A

Rush a B+

Koufos a D

Greene, Thompson, or Lopez woulda been Fs...

B+

Randolph was a nice pick, Hendrix was okay too. Kinda wished we got Hardin but it's not a bad pick.
I agree, we should have got Darrell Arthur, but we drafted well.

A-

Love Randolph, but would have preferred Speights

LOVE Hendrix, we need strength down low.

A-
I also wanted Speights, but taking Hendrix in the second (first team all sec) made me feel a lot better.

At 14 we took a guy with huge upside and versatility that could give us a scary frontcourt with Wright and Andris for the future.

The warriors took a risk on Randolph who can become Odom and then got a need guy to get rebounds. Hopefully they can get creative like Prichard and buy picks and make moves in the future.

C-

I was hoping we draft experience and a contributor now instead of a project that will be good in a few years. Baron Davis and Mikael Pietrus have a long time to wait until we get into contention in the west.

Unlikely that cheap-azz Cohen parts with $3M for a late 1st rounder...though Arthur would have been a nice pickup for just cash.

Anyway, I give this draft a B+. I like Randolph (would have preferred Speights but Randolph was the best value pick and should be a good player) but Hendrix was the real steal IMO. He's exactly what we need off the bench, our Paul Millsap.

Right.

Because you can actually draft "experience."

I kinda like Randolf, but it's iffy. I agree with the crowd that preferred Sprights among the players available at 14.

Hendrix is one of a few players I hoped GS would trade up in the 2nd round to get. Having him fall to 49 was very good.

Thank god for the ignore button, what a tool.

Brandon Rush has experience, because he is a senior in college. He is playing longer than lets say our pick, who is a freshman in college. Rush can contribute now, while Randolph will be in the D league or our bench for about a year or more.

B.

An A if we made some type of trade to get better.

I voted B.

What prevents it from being an A is that the Warriors could have added a Chalmers or Walker in the 2nd round for cash considerations or even a future 2nd round pick. I would have liked to see them take that chance. Overall, I'm happy with the Warriors draft and think they came out well. I was sweating bullets when guys like Koufos and R. Lopez were still on the board.

Every year you guys inflate our prospects as if they will make an impact in the NBA. They don't even make it the rookie all star games (except Monta Ellis in his sophomore year). We have been making interesting drafts these past few years up until now. We have put a lot of effort in fulfilling the 4 and 5 spots, and we have not been quite successful at it. We need to address our other big guy, Patrick O'Bryant, first before brushing him away without letting him try to prove to us. So far we have put together 3 tall and scrawny lefties, which is quite puzzling. It's hard to imagine how other teams would respond to playing against 3 lefties at the same time.

Other than our 49th pick, Hindrix, I'm not sure why we picked up Randolph; I just don't feel it.

Grade:
Hindrix - C+
Randolph - NA

Randolph: C+ ; I'm not sold on him but the guy is a high risk high reward type of pick. I hope he's a cross between Tayshaun Prince and Bosh.

Hendrix: B ; They better not let this guy go like Lasme cuz this guy is exactly what the W's need.

If Warriors don't make any other moves in a couple days or in the offseason: D

I give a B. I like the picks, but I felt they should have traded one or two future 2nd rounders to get CDR who fell to #40! Or even if they had gotten Bill Walker for cash consideration, that would have changed the B to at least an A-.

, me too. My brother was convinced that Koufos was the pick.
