Hey all. Sixer Fan here. Just wondering if Baron is really out there on the trade market even though he has said he will not opt out, and what would the Sixers chances of getting him in a trade because it is rumored in Philly that GM Ed Stefanski loves him. Just wondering.

Baron is unlikely to be traded because it would take a lot coming back (talent and salary), Warriors are happy to let him play out his contract (and even re-sign him if it doesn't break the bank), and he would likely be a one-year rental for anyone acquiring him this summer. What do you think would be a fair offer from Philly?

If youre talking about salary I'd say Andre Miller, Willie Green, and Reggie Evans. Talent wise I dont think the Sixers have enough.

If the Warriors have to cut salary due to luxury tax concerns, a Miller/Green/s&t Randolph deal could be in the offing. It will depend on what Biedrins/Ellis sign for. You guys need to sign Brand if he opts out or Josh Smith.

Trading Baron may be considered but is not a priority right now. It would take an offer that has some serious bait on the hook,not the usual suspects any given team has written off and wants to move.

Not sure that cuts any salary. If we want to just call Baron an expiring..then why trade for inferior expirings?

It does cut salary. That would be the point.
