1. Carmelo Anthony
2. Al Jefferson
3. Yi Jianlian
4. Kevin Martin
5. Vince Carter (ex #1 on the list)
6. Antawn Jamison (Making a comeback after being off this list for a couple years)
7. Rudy Gay
8. Michael Redd
9. Al Thornton (newcomer could make it to #1 someday if Melo ever retires)
10A). Kirk Hinrich (why do so many fans want to trade for this stiff?)
10B) Ben Gordon
Special note: OJ Mayo will shoot right up to top3 by Nov. 10th

Most overrated player is Carmelo, and Dwight Howard is in danger of taking over. How bout adding a post move to your arsenal Dwight?

I'd like to know who (besides themselves) rates Curry, Zach, and Marbury as anything more then overpaid average players.

Pull up their salaries. Someone signed them to those amounts and they were traded for.

Overrated now or overrated in the past? Just by the title "*summer of 08* most overrated" i thought that to read as the most overrated players now.
As an added note, i'd throw in Baron Davis as overrated (no longer a Warrior after opting out).

How can you list picks who have yet to play,POB..who's yet to play and is not "rated" over,under or whatever till there's sufficient data. I sure can't say overrated for Dwight Howard when he's become the best big in the NBA.
I'm leaving Knicks off my list. 3/4 of that roster used to be overrated....like Spain used to be a world power. Nobody still overrates those dudes.
Derrick Fisher....Rasheed Wallace..Tyrus Thomas...Martell Webster..Nene...Pryzbilla..Charlie Villanueva...Marvin Williams...Iverson....Shaq (2008 vintage). Stro Swift gets honorable mention since some folks still think he's good.
Melo....often overrated. Mega scorer....only average otherwise. I think that's no big secret. I'm tempted to include AK47,but Kirilenko isn't so "rated" anymore....ditto for Jason Terry,Cuttino Mobeley and a few other guy's who started to fade.
There's a couple dozen guys who may be overrated a bit but are really of too little consequence to matter. T Ariza for an example.
