Possible GS/CHI Trade...

Post#1 » by AdonalFoyle4Prez » Mon Jul 7, 2008 6:30 pm

If we're scrambling for a point guard, lets just go with Kirk Hinrich (even though Chicago wants him to stay and play SG? that's something to laugh about and Hinrich knows damn well he ain't no SG).

So...

Al Harrington + Kosta Perovic + CJ Watson/Barnes/Croshere (All resigned) + Future 2nd round picks FOR Kirk Hinrich + Cedric Simmons (we need another Milsap, Bass-type player with energy, defense, and rebounding ability) + Noah/Sefolosha. I'd want Andres Nocioni too, but we just don't want to sacrifice too much.

What do you guys think?

I'd want an uprotected #1 from Chicago throw in.

Then I'd trade Hinrich to Utan or Indiana for one their black players.

I think in any deal involving Harrington + Watson/Barnes/Croshere/2nd rd pick we would need at least one unprotected #1 coming our way from Chicago, but most likely we would require three or four. I would also veto the deal unless we could get protection on that second round pick.

Hey guys....Bulls fan here...

Chicago is not in the mode to take back more players than we give away...we're looking to trim our roster. So it'd make sense to leave out Thabo/Noah (who are untouchable anyways) and all those you guys re-sign.

Harrington for Hinrich is intriguing...but we'd like to get rid of Nocioni also (even though we love him to death) to get free up minutes for Tyrus Thomas.

How about something along the lines of Nocioni + Hinrich for Harrington + Fillers/Draft Picks/Cash/etc??

We have a nominee for the Hyperbole Post of the Day. Thabo Sefolosha is untouchable? I even like the guy and that is silly. I'm not saying you should/would do the initial proposed deal, but if you aren't willing to do anything as "drastic" as trading Sefolosha, it is not going to leave much room for finding middle ground heh

Marc Stein wrote:It is widely presumed that Chicago will soon trade guard Kirk Hinrich now that the Bulls have drafted Derrick Rose with the No. 1 overall pick, with Golden State likewise assumed to be atop the list of Hinrich suitors given the void created in the Warriors' backcourt by Davis' departure. But NBA front-office sources insist that there is some sentiment in the Bulls' organization to keep Hinrich -- a favorite of Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf -- and play him at shooting guard alongside Rose while trying to move restricted free agent Ben Gordon in a sign-and-trade to fill another Chicago need.

Hard to tell, but maybe the Bulls want to keep the white guy...per Sid/LF's comments.

Alright...u got me there. He's not "untouchable" (i dunno what i was thinking lol)...but the reason to trade Hinrich/Gordon is to let Thabo develop with Rose. So in that sense, we wouldn't trade Thabo with Hinrich, unless the right deal came along of course.
