I see a lot of posts but Nelson has been playing you all for a fool that's why I'm here to chime in on this washed up has been

Not only is Don Nelson underselling your team but this guys is a perennial loser what now on the realgm ticker he says they cant guard people at their positions. If everyone could guard and defend well well boo hoo give me 5 lebron james, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. Wow the coach doesn't like me so I'm going to forgoes 8 million in my contract grow up up fat lard or maybe you are too overgrown!

Ever since he got that fat extension after the fluke win against the mavs they have gone down hill from being a players coach to a russian dictator.

Sure the fluke playoff win meant that the loyal dog gets his bone but he has destroyed the golden state team once he allowed his ego to get the better of himself just like how he almost destroyed the mavs!

Even players like Al Harrington are rapping around the league that Nelson ruins careers. It's almost non existent that this guys is a motivational speaker to his players and he has flushed them down the drain.

Cuban was smart to let this fat lard of a coach go. He is a worthless coach and should have retried years ago.

You guys are being brainwashed and you still don't see it. Nelson is the problem not your roster!

Nelson and Dunleavy are grim reminders how many washed up coaches are still in the league. They should just pack it in. An whats worse is they have no one to blame but themselves.

We could be here a while, be here a while, be here a while, be here a while, a while, a while, a while, a while.......................................

Nelson needed to go a while ago now, along with Cohan and Rowell as well......

Look at the record......we are in no position to be picky.

Nelson is not the only problem, however his reach and power is so pervasive, we can barely judge anything or apply any remedy and expect a logical cause and effect. Too bad the best of Nellie comes with all the bull.

What are we, 9-7 with Monta back, with several close losses to top teams (of course with some bad losses in there, as well)? I wonder how good we'd be with a healthy Monta, S-Jax, Biedrins, Marco, and Brandan over 82 games. I'm guessing in the 45 win area, at least.

Rem, if you want to look at the record, you have to look at what Nelson has done since being hired three seasons ago. You can't simply point at this season and say that is the final answer.

I'll admit I thought that Nellie was the problem at the beginning of the season. I mostly hated him for not playing the youngsters (especially Randolph). But what I've come to figure out is that Nelson is a "boot camp" for NBA players. He is really good at screening the losers from a team. Every time he has switched teams, he has had to rebuild those teams from crap to respectability. Its amazing if you actually think about it. He has maintained a greater than .500 win percentage his whole career and is the second winningest coach of all time. There's a reason he is at that position and we are not. He obviously sees things that we realgmers don't. If Nellie would have ever inherited the teams that Phil Jackson has, i'm sure he would have some titles to add to his resume.

Nellie plays small because that is what works with his rosters. Most of the NBA still plays the game the traditional way and Nellie's past "big" lineups would have been destroyed by other teams'. Nellie knows what he has now, though. He has 3 legit big men (Biedrins/AR4, Turiaf) and Wright. For the first time, he has actual quality big men and he has gone public saying that this team needs to go bigger to win. He knows how to get the most from his teams. There's a method to his madness everybody.

The Dallas series was a fluke right? That's why the Warriors still won 48 games last season minus Richardson. If you knew anything about this team, you would realize that the 07 playoff Warriors was a team that only played together for 3 months and won a crapload of games during that stretch to squeeze into the playoffs. Had that team been together the whole season, they would have won 55+ games. The Warriors were clearly the better team, and Nellie was clearly the superior coach. Before you start rambling you're nonsense, check the facts.

You are describing March Don Nelson. December Don Nelson was sleeping off hangovers on the bench during games and trying not to look at the roster of players he hated disgracing the game of basketball. He was a problem at that time because he was lashing out and flailing withuot a direction or mission for the roster. It's absolutely fair to criticize the job Nellie was doing during his angry bitter winter. Spring is here, and he's a new man. It's also fair to recognize the change in him.

The "fluke" playoff win against Dallas was very convincing.
An old fashioned butt kicking, Nellie style.....
P.S. In your face, Mr. Cuban!

i agree with nellie being a problem, i cant figure how he dismantled most of the 06-07 roster, after making the playoffs in like 13 seasons, he trades away jrich for brandan wright? dont get me wrong, wright has potential, but i just didnt understand that trade.

Nellies problem at the moment seems to be his long term planning. To many of the roster moves seem to be made for the now and not the future. He needs to develop a long term strategy for the next 4-5 years like most NBA franchises do. Unfortunately, he's old, senile, has no rings and loves his money and scotch. Im interested in Sleepy51's "new" Nellie rambling and i'd like to see if he is seeing a future now with AR, Monta, Biedrins, Morrow and company like most others can see. But I'm still expecting him to coach like he wants a ring before his bowels fail courtside.

Let me continue to chime in that the "fluke win" was not because the player didn't play well; infact they played out of their minds that playoff series against Dallas. It's helps that you guys matched up well and if he didn't win you wouldn't be in the current predicament. Infact this "fluke win" has had a boomerang effect on your franchise. A moments pride but twice the fall.

The fact to the matter is that his ignorant comments makes the values of your players at an all time low. It doesn't matter who you draft as long as Nelson holds the fort free agents will say "see you later" and even if you draft well Nelson will send them packing when in actual fact he has to pack it in.

Well, Don Nelson is the reason Dirk is in Dallas.
Of course, the Warriors organization is a mess, we can blame Nellie for that.
What about Dallas now without Nelson? Are they perfect? No...
Did they choke against Miami in the NBA Finals? Yes....
Did they choke against the Warriors in the first round after winning 67 games in the regular season?
Yes....
Will they win a championship with Dampier & Co.? No...
At least we have 1 Championship Banner in Oakland....
Thank you, Rick Barry!
Don Nelson = HOF

Nellie is the problem, he doesn't coach defense and this is why he doesn't coach teams to the Finals and win Championships even though he has been around in the NBA for like 150 years.

It's a bit more than that even.. NELLIE FUTURE = about a week ahead (sometimes 5 min? ) He speaks of the fu5ture, the young guys...as is they were abstract concepts, like a guy who sticks a flag decal on his pickup and just that easy he's a 79 cent patriot.

Mullin had TRIED to bring a plan,to fill the glaring needs and Nellie in every case went to unusual efforts to cancel out all that, not just reject Mullin's input but to render them virtually worthless.

Wright-Randolph-Belinnelli did survive but all waited along time to just see 50% of the minutes/opportunity that would be normal for a similar player.....especially if there's a big role to fill and the team is down among the losers.

So if Nelson is the problem then another coach would have healed Monta sooner....made Randolph better and older faster....kept players from being constantly injured?

Nelson arrives....competitive loss in the 2nd round followed by 48 wins. Baron is dealt and Monta is injured half the season and it's the youngest fricken team in the NBA!

Nelson drives me nutz with his small ball crap. But F'ing Phil Jackson wouldn't have made this year's team a playoff team so get over it! Don't let facts get in the way of a great bashing session.
