France beat Finland today by 10 to go 2-0..My sources tell me Turiaf had a basket. France is loaded (Parker-Batum-French Trainwreck's brother-Turiaf-Diaw)

Biedrins scored 11 on Friday vs the basketball powerhouse Sweden in a friendly..Our Lativian brothers play Russia on Sunday to kick off their Eurobasket 2009.

Anybody think George will score 26 in a whole month? I wonder how many assists he will average?

Biedrins is going to put up huge numbers in Philly when your trade goes through. :x

my trade doesnt involve Biedrins. The 76ers have to pay Daly, they can't trade for Andris.

If you don't think Nellie is trading Dre, you've been getting into Old Rem's stash. The only thing that kept Dre on this team last year instead of an un-extended Bosh was a busted wrist and the only thing that kept Dre here instead of Amare this summer was Amare's agent knowing that his guy will not get as good an extension after feuding with Nellie about playing C for 60 games.

Nellie named Dre a captain last year = trade bait.

And yes, he was also going to trade Jack while his value was high before Rowell slapped an extension to no where on his prize bull.

A lot of assumptions in there, Sleepy. Most of them go contrary to knowledge on the record.

Dre has been on the block Nick. I'm not saying Nellie hates him. I'm saying he wants a scoring Vet PF more than he values what Dre does. Dre was in both of the (unsigned) Bosh and Amare deals, both of which were nixed by someone other than the W's.

Jack? That's all me. I admit it. As much as I gripe about Nellie I have more respect for his intelligence than to think he buys into Jack's act.

I don't think anyone would deny that Andris was on the block in the Amare trade talks.

But in the midst of those talks Riley came out and said point blank that he'd have a very hard time trading for a an impending FA. It doesn't take much to read between the lines and see that he was saying we would not be dealing for Amare unless he came here on an extension.

Now the trades broke down for one reason or another, although most seem to believe that it has to do with Stephen Curry not being part of the deal, but since its an unknown discussion that took place there is room to speculate.

What we do have on the record are the clear words of our GM echoing what this board felt, which is that you don't trade Andris for anyone that might not be here long term.
