MNF 8:30 ET ESPN

Just based on the mascots, I say we win this one by 30 points.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

Agreed. Let's go out there and show Steely Dan what's what.

This is for the division lead, ladies and gents. A possible make-or-break game, and one I'll be pumped for.

My only concern is that McAlister is out for this one.

Another blow to the lost art of coverage. 7-0 Steelers.

I turned around for a few minutes. 21-0 Steelers.

Something tells me there won't be a post-game discussion.

My theory is that Steve McNair is so heavily medicated right now that he can't really feel contact and doesn't have any idea of who or what is around him. Thus the 2 fumbles.

Neither of them should have happened. A competent and non-medicated quarterback would see and feel the pressure and either get rid of it or go down. Steve just seems to think that no one is around him and promptly loses the ball.

But yeah....over the hill is an understatement. Put a fork in him.

Change a few words here and there and you have a pretty apt assessment of Billick as well. Its nice that most of the problems on this team can all be derived from a single, uniform criticism.

In relation to our current predicament, this looks like the game that kills all playoff hopes for the year. No offense, no defense, no coaching/leadership/blocking/decision-making/youth... rebuilding's going to be a bitch. You really can't take too much from this ineffective and rather pathetic display of football.

And, officially, McNair has set a record today.

The only player in the history of the NFL with 13+ completions and just 63 yards.

Just shows everyone how done the guy really is - "Air" McNair is no longer. New nickname - "Short pass to sides for a 2-yd gain when we needed 8" McNair.

Wow. I kind of tuned out the game after the first half, and to be honest, I'm not the least bit surprised. McNair's been treading this path all year long. Its impressive, nonetheless. An honor which I hope Steve is gracious enough to share with his head coach, who, without his complacent and ornery playcalling, he couldn't have possibly met this goal without.

Seriously, our offense is at the point of 'record-breaking' bad.

In other words, same as it ever was. How many games left this year?

What an abortion of a game. Just terrible. There is no question that Boller needs to start next week.

^^^ Yup. With McNair, defenses can completely change their structure to their benefit. The long ball is not an option with Steve, so teams can hone in on our short passing game, and our running game.

And to think, this was the team where people were saying "Championship or bust" before the season. Sad.

Changes need to be made. Billick has to go. This offense is too inept for the NFL. What happened to establishing the run? Calling run plays on 2 and 10 and pass plays on 3rd and 1.

I honestly never thought they had a chance at it going into this year.
