The Ravens have left the field. This is gonna be a heartbreaker of an OT period, assuming of course that it is overturned.

The ball went through the posts, but hit the support bar and bounced back over.

And...

it's good. I think.

Wat a bunch of bull. The refs aren't ALLOWED to view a replay. This game should be over, no matter if it's a technically good kick or not.

They didn't. They never looked at the replay, it was decided by the officials on the field.

Dawson field goal from 51 yards away. It was a strong kick, and actually hit one side of the goal-post. After hitting that one side, it bounced in, but after it bounced in, it hit the underneath part of the field-goal post thing....then bounced out.

The refs said that because it initially went through, it was a made field goal, even though it bounced out in the end.

The refs initially ruled it a missed field goal, but somehow were able to review it, and fix the error.

The then ruled it made and the game has gone into overtime.

Didn't Ian Eagle even make fun of the officials, saying they weren't supposed to review it, but did anyway, just "calling it" a "discussion"?

51 yard FG attempt by Phil Dawson hits the side of the uprights, then bounces down, passes the threshold and hits the bar that supports the uprights, and bounces back into the field of play. It's good, because it passes the threshold.

On to OT.

Okay, just got the full scoop from Boomer. They did review the play, but because it hit something, they were within the rules to do so. Apparently. This also explains why they never said the play was under review. Apparently.
