Game# 6 San Fran at Caroline

Whoooo, this has the makings for a real ugly game. Two teams with 1 win between them. i have no idea what to expect. Moore back at QB and Steve Smith back. Can our defense play with any semblance of the defense to which we know they are capable of playing?

LaFell and Gettis are playing terrific for Rookies! Gotta really like the future for our WR's.

But what in the hack was Moore thinking right there? Let me throw it away - to that nice man in the white jersey? What a momentum killer.

Oh no. Moore trying to overcome the blunder, and making some some great passes. And Gettis dropped the TD pass right in his hands. Have to hate that for the kid. Having his best game as a Pro, and his 2nd TD of the game which would tie the score goes through his hands. Have to see if he can bounce back.

AND THIS TIME HE HOLDS ON! Great pass from Moore, and a career performance for Gettis!

WOOOOO. Finally. And what's even funnier is that Buffalo might win their first today too.

Great game by Moore. I questioned the decision to put him back in but perhaps that was the motivation he needed?

David Carr still sucks. Feel bad for him too.

Seems like in the 2nd half the fire came back to this team. A fire which has been missing all season. The Defense started playing like we know they can, and Moore started to play like he did at the end of last season. Now granted, this was against Carr and not Alex Smith, and this was the sad 49ers and not a typical avg team. But it was a good sign. Need to see if it carries over next week.

If Moore continues to play like that, we might just approach the Wildcard area. It's highly unlikely that we could sneak in (we would have to win out or possibly lose one or two at the most) but if the team can keep this up, we could get our six or seven games. Granted, this was just one game, so I want to see how a rejuvenated Moore plays against a good team.

I've said it all year; Gettis is the real deal. Last year we stole Captain, this year it was Gettis. We're pretty good at finding these late-round gems even though we can't get a break on our second-round picks.

Gettis was indeed a steal. I just hope the game we saw from LaFell was also the real deal for him. If both of them pan out for Carolina, the receiving corp will be in good shape.
