Game # 9 Carolina at Tampa

This one will not be easy. Tampa is playing well and fighting Atlanta for the Division lead and ahead of New Orleans right now. We have Clausen starting at QB and he needs all the receivers to help and we need Goodsen to run effectively. We should lose this one, but I would love to see the team rise up and smack Tampa down.

We have a good eye for RB's. Goodson has over 100 yards so far with a battered offensive line. We signed Josh Vaughan and Andre Brown (NC State, Greenville NC native) earlier in the week.

Clausen is struggling and I'd like to see Tony Pike play just so we could see what he can do. Goodson and Kasay have kept this game close so far.

I actually thought Clausen played well. But 3 FG's and only 1 TD is not a good %. Needed to punch it across the line rather than settle for FG's. I like letting Clausen get time with the young receivers. Get to know each other in real games where the season is already lost. Build towards next year. Hated the 2 QB sneak calls at the end of the game. Should have have handed it off to the FB.

What really hurt us was the Defense. Just not a very good Defense, but there are injuries so that is not unexpected. But Defense will have to be the priority in this upcoming Draft.

Oh well, 1-8, and since next week is Baltimore, I am penciling in 1-9.

And to cap it all off, Buffalo wins, Dallas wins and San Fran wins again. I think when the rankings come out, we will officially be the worst team in the NFL.

Carolina was the worst team in the NFL long before this week. I saw the Tampa loss coming and I, too, see the Baltimore loss coming. I think Tampa will get its comeuppance in SF though.

There are some solid pieces in place for next season and some more health then wouldn't hurt either. No reason Clausen can't be the QB of the future and the running game can't improve. The defence hasn't been horrible this season.
