Looks like Fox would rather keep him off the field and let the four young guys (five if you count Stewart when he returns) play.
It's probably the best move; we're not a playoff team and there's no reason to risk getting him hurt again in a lame duck season.

Sums up my thoughts. Gives everyone else some more time too, which is nice. Hopefully Williams can recover well and be good for next season.

Apparently he's a FA after this season and he may not come back so we very well may have seen the last of him in Carolina, which will be a shame. One of my favorite players and I was very excited to see him drop to Carolina several years ago.
