Who should we draft?

If Luck decides to go for the draft then I vote we take him without looking back, but besides him who do we take?

Assuming we have the #1 pick, and it looks like we will, here is my breakdown.

I think Luck is a franchise QB, and unless we are certain that Clausen has that potential, you take Luck. If you think Clausen can be a solid starting QB, then if you want to address offense, you take Green as your next #1 WR to take the place of Smith when he retires or is traded. Green is a special talent.

My biggest concern for this team is Defense. There is quite a bit of talent, but it is a mess right now. If you want a sure fire stud, take CB Peterson. Man is just flat out awesome and I think will be a true shut down Corner. We have been addressing the DE position, but our newcomers are not lighting it up right now. Taking Bowers is a great pick if you want to address the pass rush.

In order, I would likely take Luck, Peterson, Bowers and then Green. But any of the 4 would do great for us. Since our FO, in all their wisdom, gave away our 2nd round pick, it might be smartest to try and trade back a couple spots to Buffalo who wants Luck, if we can get their 1st and also their 2nd. That way we get one of these four guys, and a high 2nd round pick as well. Just an idea.

To be honest if Luck decides not to go to the draft this year then he is a fool,
Matt Barkley is headed to be just as big a phenomena and will go high (Top 5 pick) and could displace Luck.

Doesn't matter who we "should" draft but I have a feeling that we'll take Bowers if he leaves. The FO loves their local guys and they'll probably hope that he's the next Peppers.

We better take Andrew Luck, our defense has done fine this year, our offense on the other hand is nearing records for being the worst offense in the History of the NFL...... We barly score 10 points a game apparently :cry:

The offence is one of the worst I've ever seen. The OT position is pretty good, so take Luck and he won't get concussed too much anyway.

How Luck is consistently ahead of constantly award-winning Newton confuses me a bit though. Is it just the scandal, or is Luck that much more suited to the NFL game?

I believe it should be noted that we should grab as much talent as possible in this draft, for example in the first round a great grab for the Panthers would be Luck, in the second a great grab talent wise would be Greg Jones, ect. At this point we dont need to restock on positions that we lack players in, rather we need to rebuild. We need to rebuild
