Game # 8 Vikings at Panthers

Post#1 » by ohara » Fri Oct 28, 2011 11:25 pm

Ponder leads the Vikings into BOA Stadium to take on Cam and the Panthers. This should be a good game. I think Cam has a chance to put up some good numbers. But our Defense has got to find a way to slow down AP. If he runs all over us, they score points and eat up the clock. Keeps the ball out of Cam's hands and the offense doesn't score.

My prediction: Carolina starts off well, gets a couple TD's, forcing the Vikings to pass rather than run. Panthers win 31 - 20. Our first winning streak under Rivera.

Definitely a winnable game. Minnesota isn't 1-7 bad, but then again, we aren't 2-6 bad. I think this one'll turn out well - Newton could have a nice game against that secondary.

21 - 21 in the 4th. 3 TD passes for Cam, no Int's but does have 2 fumbles where he was hit when starting to throw. Difference now is that our Defense is getting Vikings in 3rd and long and keeps giving up first down passes. We will lose unless the Defense can stiffen up this 4th qtr

Ready to throw up now. Lost 24 - 21. Cam had a 2 minute drive that got us down to the 14 yard line, and Mare missed a 31 yard chip shot to tie the game. Unreal.

Cam was 22 - 35 for 290 yards, 3 TD's and no Int.'s. But this loss kills all momentum going into the bye week. Sickening.

Our Special Teams is killing us as much as our defense. Cant continue to start every drive with a long drive. Next draft should be focused solely on defense/ ST.
