I know the first game is not a make or break game. But I think getting off to a Divisonal road victory will be a huge thing for this team. It sets the tone for the season. The Defense should be very improved with our DT's allowing our DE's to get into the backfield. And I am so excited to watch Kuechly. There are a good many predictions that he will have a lot to say about Defensive ROY honors. I'm looking for double digit tackles and a forced turnover to make a statement in his first pro start. The Defense needs to get the ball to Cam in good field position so he can do his thing and move the ball downfield. We will have success if the Defense is solid.

As for tonight, I fully expect the Giants to get to Romo and make life miserable for the Cowboys.

The Giants won the superbowl last year by luck, look for them to be mediocre this year, heck maybe not even making the playoffs. The Cowboys, as much as it hurts me to admit it, are a pretty talented team. The have the games best pass rusher, a rising star at ILB, solid depth on their D-Line, and a deeeep deeep secondary. On offense they have the super promising Murray, a solid QB out of Romo (who can post all star #'s), good talent in their recieving core, with the O-Line being the only question mark on the team really....

Freeman is going to get shatttttttt on today. Really excited to see what a healthy Panthers defense can do.

TB 7-0 Allowing the Bucs to go 78 yards on their first possession is just unacceptable. Also that dropped pass by Olsen really hurt us. If our D doesn't step it up Im going to flip out.

Defense is a bit disappointing so far, for sure. Offense needs to get going as well. Bucs look much better than I expected based on last season.

Bucs just killing our defense right now. Very embarrassing to watch this display. But the defense did make a goalline stand and hold the Bucs to another FG rather than a TD. 13-0 mid way thru the 2nd qtr. Cam needs to get this offense moving.

Yeh lets give DeAngelo only 6 carries and have Newton drop back 35+ times, that will definitely get the job done smh.

Lost 16-10 Cam was 23/33 for 303 yards, 1 TD and 2 Ints. Bucs shut down the run today. Their corners were knocking down passes left and right. Our WR's just could not get much separation. Our defense could not find a way to get the Bucs offense off the field enough.

Only managed to see part of the game but was really disappointed. My first thought was, "The Panthers would have won this game last year." Tons of time left, I suppose.

Im hoping that our season doesn't go like this game did, our Defense was horrible, our WR's were horrible, and our RB's were beyond bad. I am at a loss of words to explain how disappointed I am, hell we looked more prepared last year in our opener against Arizona, and that was with half the **** team missing.

So disappointed, I know it is only one game but we looked turrable in the 1st Half, big game vs the aints next week. Somebody is going to be (0-2).

Saints really struggled defensively. I swear if we can't get our offense going next week, particularly our running game I'm going to lose all hope.

Redskin's scrubby backfield had running room for days.

All good points made. One thing I think the team has to worry about a lot is the O Line. Before the game, I thought it was a strength. But Williams had 6 rushes for -1 yards. The team rushed 13 times for only 10 yards. Cam was sacked 3 times, but was under assault almost EVERY time he went back. It was pitiful. If our O Line is this bad that we cannot mount a rushing attack, and Cam is getting battered every time he goes back to pass, we are in trouble.

I am hoping that this was just 1st game errors and such the the team gets it together. And maybe the Bucs are a lot better than people thought. But like Kemba and Simba said, the Saints game is going to be huge. One of the teams will get back to even at 1-1 and be OK. The other falls to 0-2, and that is trouble.
