It gets worse. Hope everything shakes out as it should, regardless of the outcome.

Greg Hardy staying away from voluntary OTA's. He had a really strong year last season opposite Charles Johnson and he is looking to cash in on it. Hoping to get a long term extension.

Armanti Edwards is getting really good reports from the OTA's. Word is he is looking like he is finally catching on to the WR position and may yet be a solid contributor during the season. Would be nice to see since we gambled on him in the draft a few years ago.

Jon Richardson, the oldest of Jerry's sons, died at the age of 53. Long battle with cancer. Thoughts and prayers out to the family of Jon. He was married with 2 daughters. Jon and his brother Marc had a good bit to do with the Panthers since their inception, but Jerry fired both in 2009 for phiiosophical differences. They both stayed on the Board I think.

Free agent G Travelle Wharton is meeting with the Panthers Tuesday.
Wharton spent his first eight seasons with the Panthers, starting 99 games at guard and tackle. He left for Cincy last year, but hurt his knee during the preseason opener and missed the entire season. Wharton, now 32, would provide some much-needed depth across the Panthers' line.

Also hopefully Quintin Mikell is waiting on training camp to get started to sign with us.

If he's healthy, I'd be fine with bringing Wharton back. O-line depth is always important.

Split our first 2 preseason games as the Eagles are running out the clock in a 14-9 victory over the Panthers. The offense is just not clicking like it needs to do. Settled for 3 FG's tonight, and that was the difference. But Josh Norman got another INT tonight, so that helps the Defense. Move Captain to S where he is better suited.

Lotulelei is going to be a beast this upcoming season. Dude can flat out dominate at the line of scrimmage. I'm really happy with the strides this defense has taken (7 forced to's through 3 preseason games), but the offense really needs to elevate their play. Offensive line is questionable and the running game has been non existent which in turn is forcing Cam to make too many plays on his own.

Panthers have looked sharp tonight vs Baltimore. 2 defensive TD's and a punt return TD for a 21-7 lead. Offense needs some help tho.

Lotulelei looked every bit the DT we hope he will be for us. And for all but the first drive by the Ravens, I was very pleased with our Defense. But the offense better get a WHOLE lot better or we will only be a .500 team. I was rather disappointed with our failure to produce on offense.

Just signed Travelle Wharton. If he is healed from his injury which kept him out last year, will be a good pick up. Kugbila, our 4th round pick, cannot stay healthy. He has been injured on and off all training camp and preseason. Seems like a wasted pick at this point. Guy better stop getting injured and play some ball.

Jonathon Stewart on the PUP list. Can come back in week 6. Good thing that RB is a position well stocked for the Panthers. Really hate he is having these physical issues. Hopefully this surgery fixes things.

Kugbila on the Injured Reserve. Wont see any action. Thank goodness we signed Wharton - if he stays healthy.

You're right. Ginn was good again in the win over the Steelers. Panthers go 3 - 1 this preseason. Defense looks solid, but I have concerns about the offense. I hope they were holding back, because they sure looked mediocre at best.

Just Cam and Derek Anderson. Clausen was cut today. Not a real surprise, but kinda risky to go with only 2 QB's on the roster. Clausen joins Tim Tebow as another high profile cut this Saturday morning.

Panthers also release Drayton Florence. Kinda funny. They signed him a few months ago to add to the secondary, but with Norman doing so well, they figure they dont need him.

Panthers put Nakamura on the IR, and sign FA safety Quintin Mikell. They improved themselves here without question.
