I'd seen they were considering it... The offence is a mess. That $4.75M of cap space could easily get a couple guys who'll help out, hopefully a replacement RB among them. I'd consider that the main position of need at this point.

I'm sure theere are some options out there for the Panthers to choose from. They also release David Carr today as well. Personally, the guy sucks at QB. Just too inconsistant as a passer and perhaps as a leader on the field. Also Mushim Mohammed is expected to return to the Panthers. How will he effect the Panthers offense since he's up in age now? He's around 33 or 34 right?

Im pretty sure you guys drafted a guy named Jonathan Stewart and after watching him run all over the Pac 10 conference the past 3 years i would say with him and deangelo williams you got a nice running back tandom, both young and extremely talented, great 1-2 punch.

Good point. Of course, those posts were all before the draft.

i expect to see williams get first crack at the starting gig, especially if he's improved his protection and if JS gets off to a slow start. but either way expect a 60-40 split of carries, we just dont know who is getting the 60% yet. but thats fine. we wouldnt know what to do w/ a 1000 yard rusher anyway. just give us 900 and 700.
