Back to stud. I think the whole team was out of sync last year, and that he and Rucker were the worst hit. Now that Peppers has a lot more responsbility on his shoulders, I think he'll step up to the plate, even disregarding his contract status. Just a hunch, I know.

I sure hope the move to the right side helps him get back to old form. If not, we will be in trouble this year as I dont know if Brayton or Johnson on the other side will be able to contribute as much as we need. Also, we are still in Contract talks with his agent about tying him down long term. I know the Panthers would like a small concession from Pep after such a bad year last season, but all indications are he and his agent are wanting him to be the top paid DE in the game. If the Panthers try to hold out and say "let's see how you start performing this season and then talk", he may just tell us to kiss off and walk after this season. Difficult decision, but I dont think you can let him get away. But paying HUGE $ to him if he has another year like last year can be a terrible move. Glad I dont have to make this call.
