KC at Carolina

Well, Gross will be missing at LT and Otah is "questionable" at RT (he'll be out). At least we have quality backups, but we cannot afford to have anyone hurt during this game. Otah will likely be back after missing only 1 game. Gross may miss only this one, but perhaps the following one as well. That would be bad. But I wont worry with that until next week.

The Chiefs came off a solid game last week with a win over Denver. Larry Johnson ran wild. But we have a solid run defense, so I feel we will come thru this with a victory. Carolina 27 KC 13

Total domination: 34 - 0. A Panthers victory. 441 to 127 in total yards. We held Larry Johnson to 2 yards on 7 carries. D Will was tremendous with 2 rushing TD and a receiving TD. Everyone played great, including a Rookie at the Left Tackle spot. Just a great game.

One correction from above. Omiyale who started at LT is not a Rookie. He is in his 4th yr, but this was his 1st start. But a very solid one it was. And with Atlanta and Tampa losing, we are in sole 1st in the NFC South! Now we gotta expand on the lead with victories over Tampa and New Orleans. Both will be very tough games, but this is where we can solidify ourselves as one of the NFC elite teams.

Another correction. Atlanta won, but we had a game in hand over them, so still leading them in the standings. And total yards by KC was 152, so they had more than I originally stated.

Great win. Shame me Canadian TV wouldn't let me watch it, but I saw closer contests anyway.

Tampa and NO are exactly the kind of teams I want to be showing up. :D

How 'bout them Giants over the Seahawks? That was demolition too.

The Giants are playing with supreme confidence right now, and will be hard to beat. But that division will take its toll on all teams in the NFC East.

We have a great chance to put some space between us and Tampa/Atlanta this week. We have a 1 game lead over them, and 2 over NO. Taking out Tampa on the road and NO at home would put us in great position for not only winning the NFC South, but having some home field in the playoffs. Dont want to get ahead of things too much, as we have to go out and win these next two games. But if we play up to our potential, we will.

I believe we can too. I don't even think Tampa and NO are that great.

The NFC East is a meat grinder. I pity the AFC teams having to play those teams in interleague games. Even the 2-3 (HTF is that happening?!) Eagles look formidable.
