Who is the Astros pitcher and how badly will he dominate the Brewers?

Matt Albers. I'm predicting a complete game shutout.

I'm predicting Albers goes 5 2/3, allowing 5 runs, strikes out 7, walks 4, and gives up two blasts (one to Fielder and one to Hart).

Sheets throws 7 innings, hits his marks and strikes out 8 while walking zero.

Brewers win 6-3

I can only pray your prediction is rigth JJ2. I can see this Albers kid shutting us down going like 6IP with like 2 ER. Sheets always seems to get rocked by the Cards and the Astros. I dont feel to good about this one.

I just hope that Sheets has solved his curveball issues. He hasn't thrown it for strikes effectively which has had bad effects on his strikeouts. It should be a nice, warm evening so I hope he has control on it.

This is Albers 3rd start in the majors, I think if Jenkins and Counsell stay on track we should run this kid by the 4th. Prince is due for a big game.

Even with the hot bat Corey Hart has been swinging in the past couple games, Kevin Mench has been on fire. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in right field tonight.

This series worries me. Biggio is a certified Brewer Killer and the Astros always seems to have decent success against us. Not to mention their pitcher is making his MLB debut, so he'll probably pitch a one hitter.

Welcome back El Caballo. Im really hoping Sheets gets his control problems down. He walked 3 batters last game. Thats almost 1/4 of his total that he usually does. Fastball and Curveball. I can see Biggio and Berkman killing us this series

well i guess we're gonna start to see if they're gonna start playing smart baseball this year. they seem to be settling down and having lots of good at bats this homestand, maybe they can keep it up.

Also just wanted to send a reminder that anyone who wants to be on a schedule/rotation to make game threads should go post in the 'game threads' thread

Intersting quote from the brewers mlb.com site:

"Outfielder Corey Hart has enjoyed lots of success against Houston in his brief big league career, batting .385 (20-for-52) with five home runs and 11 RBIs. All five of those homers against Astros pitchers have come in 30 at-bats against them at Miller Park."

Yeah, hopefully sheets' curveball is back, he needs that. I think Hart will start this game. Prince is due for a big game so I'm sure he'll hit a homer.

No, he's just pitching against the Brewers. He'll go back to being shelled once this game is over
