I want Reggie Bush.

Post#1 » by Sinistar6 » Tue Dec 11, 2007 10:58 pm

I am under the impression that the Saints would entertain offers for Reggie Bush do to the fact he has not lived up to expectations and Steckers emergence as a back that can contribute. Next year Duece will be back and I think we should go for Reggie Bush. I believe with the injury and his failure to live up to expectations (some say he is a bust back that can not run between the tackles) Chicago can come up with a package that could intrigue the Saints.

Possibly a resigned Lance Briggs and filler.

It would make me very happy to see Reggie in a Bears uni. Even with his deficiencies as an every down back, using him in creative ways along with the offensive emergence of D. Hester would give defensive coordinators fits. At his best he may give the Bears an option as a premiere back and would be a great 1-2 punch with a healthy Benson.

Thoughts.

Don't think I've ever stopped reading a post half way through the first sentence before, but there's a first time for everything.

1) Saints wouldn't trade him.
2) I don't want him.
3) We could do better.

I just thought of a great idea. Let's go out and get Randy Moss and Tom Brady. We can trade Rex Grossman, Bernard Berrian, Lance Briggs, Mike Brown, 1st round draft pick, Cedric Benson, Kyle Orton, Chris Leak, Walter Payton, Ron Turner, Lovie Smith, Mike Ditka, Greg Olsen, and Fred Miller and maybe the Patriots will consider it.

Sad thing is, we would probably do better if we made that trade. Leaving Olin Kreutz to protect Brady, we would probably go 15-1

But yeah, Reggie Bush isn't going anywhere.

LOL.

Eric Dickerson,Marshall Faulk, and H. Walker get traded in their careers, and you guys act like proposing a trade for Bush is crazy. All of those were feature backs, which you can not yet say Bush is. I understand why the Saints would want to hold on to see what they have, but you guys shouldn't dismiss the idea in such a harsh way. You hurt my feelings. If stars get traded why can't Reggie?

No idea if the Saints would trade him, but I thought from day one he would never live up to the hype. He's done nothing to change my mind.

This thread didn't live long, but it might have been one of my favorites on this Bears board. Ever.

Nah, I think we ought to pass. He's not a RB that you give the ball to 20-30 times a game to reel in 1000+ yards a season. He's an all purpose type of back, which isn't a bad thing. But like others have said, he hasn't lived up to anything yet. PLUS, if he came to Chicago, he'd bring drama with crazy Kim Kardashian + media obsession that entails with her.
