I wanna say it was against seattle, not sure... But yea, Orton not good or bad, but id say more good... No turnovers was key

bobsampson - did you not at one time have a truly awesome chick avatar? If so, how did you go from that to nothing at all ??

I just got home and checked the scores. I honestly was expecting a loss, but I'm so pumped with how we played. I've been telling people that when we stay healthy and the defense plays well, we can win games. No one wants to believe me though, but this game should serve as a wakeup call to the league.

Wow just Wow! What a pick me up after the Cubs crap today. The D, Forte, and Brian Urlacher's Old Spice Commercial were amazing!

Anybody notice Beekman? Exactly. Nice job BEEK!!! He'll be a nice replacement for Olin in a few years at Center. Not impressed with Olin btw.

Orton did a very good job last night .Im checking out the first half again w/o commercials and he audibled quite a bit and those plays were highly successful .One of his main criticisms has always been reaction time but he was decisive and made quick decisions .We also have had major problems extending drives since like forever but he made major throws on third to keep some drives going .One major difference was we were able to stay in third and short situations.Hes gona have to air it out soon as teams get ready to stop Forte but we should be able to get some big plays downfield off playaction if the line holds up.

Thats where having Olsen healthy and Hester will really help. Even though Hester didn't get many balls, he draws so much attention that Olsen ends up being covered by a LB which works out in our favor. I think its going to be really tough for teams to stack the box this year.

That was a really fun game to watch. Cliff Levingston was watching it with 3 of his buddies and none of us could remember the last time we had a running back with elusiveness on the second level. ICLO, you probably have to go all the way back to Neil Anderson to find the last guy with Forte's quickness and light feet in space. Needless to say that he's got Cliff Levingston VERY excited to see more from him.

Kevin Jones ran pretty well in the time he got as well. His average doesn't look great but most of those runs were against a stacked front when we were trying to bleed the clock. He looked pretty quick and decisive in his cuts as well. It's exciting to see that we might have a ground game and more than 1 running back that could be considered NFL caliber.

Solid game by Orton. He was off on some passes but he didn't throw an picks and completed plays just enough. The coaching staff isn't going to ask any more of him so long as we can run the ball and control the clock like we did last night, and that's ok with Cliff Levingston. Keep using those beastly tight ends.

Cliff Levingston wasn't worried one bit about the defense after the preseason and they proved why tonight. Great game plan, and even though we didn't get to Manning for sacks too much, we controlled the line of scrimmage and made things extremely difficult by taking away the run game. Big ups to Marcus Harrison for his first NFL sack, completely dominating the fellow rookie center on that play. Ogunleye had a big game with two tackles for loss including that safety.

Let's hope we can keep the train rolling in Carolina and have our home opener with a 2-0 record.

Forte>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Benson

I almost forgot what it was like to see a Runningback run with Power, Speed, and most importantly Heart.

hell yeah
#27 is ready to contribute now and forte is a bad man-----------its official

we outplayed the colts in every phase
couldnt be happier

our receiver by committee should be an advantage with all the different looks and uncertainties we can cause for defenses with our competent WRs b/c our TE's will have to always be accounted for------love having olsen in the backfield

Is turner actually getting creative?? Look out!!

Brilliant gameplan and performance by the D--Peanut/55/94/93/98/54/91/30/31/96/36/92/52/38/97/95----great job guys

Cool on the road video with the Bears leading up to the Indy game off of the chicagobears.com website

Edit: For some reason the link goes to the Lovie interview preparing for Carolina; just click on the "on the road" one right underneath it.

Ogunleye was named NFC defensive player of the week for the safety and 4th down stop.
