Tampa Trib :
Another NFL source told the Post a high-ranking Redskins official shopped quarterback Jason Campbell to another team for a second-round draft pick. The Post said the source interpreted the move as an attempt by Washington to put together a package to get Cutler.

OK..how does Denver demand 2 1st round picks as a STARTING point for Cutler and Washington try to trade Campbell for a second round pick?

........................CMP...ATT...YDS...CMP%...YPA...LNG...TD...INT...SACK...RAT
Cutler 2008......384...616...4526...62.3...7.35...93...25.....18.....11.....86.0
Campbell 2008.315...506...3245...62.3...6.41...67...13.......6.....38.....84.3

11 sacks to 38! I wonder what Campbell would have done behind Denver's O-Line and how Cutler will take being tossed on his butt 40 times in a year???

We should sign Pace. Keep our #1 and draft the best WR, then trade our 2nd round to the Skins for Campbell.

You're officially dead to me.

There's a reason the Redskins are trying to get Cutler and dump Campbell !

Simply......Cutler >>>> Campbell.

And I'm not even sure Campbell > Orton.

Two 1sts and a player sounds right. Switching to a 3-4 defense takes the right personnel so I imagine one of our d-linemen or linebackers might have to be included. You take the one year hit and build anew next year via free agency with the money freed up by the trade.

Rumor out of Washington is a Cutler to Redskins deal is imminent. Hopefully this isn't true.

The Chicago Bears pulled the big upset Thursday afternoon by acquiring Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler, a source told ESPN.com.

The Broncos confirmed the move.

Terms of the trade weren't immediately available, but the Bears had to beat out the Redskins, Buccaneers, Lions, Titans and other teams to get land the 25-year-old Pro Bowl quarterback.

The Broncos had been asking for at least two first-round choices.

Cutler asked to be traded when he found out first-year coach Josh McDaniels tried to acquire Matt Cassel in a trade with the Patriots.

Cutler had not returned phone calls from the Broncos, according to the team, and had been staying away from the offseason program.
