I think we can safely say that this is Igawa's best performance of the season so far and that it is exactly what we needed at this point in the year. I'm impressed and I say we give him another start or two to see if he is what we saw today or what we say his previous start. -Jitpal

That was just what the doctor ordered from Igawa.

I wonder why all the nay sayers and doomsday-ers like Abraham Lincoln aren't showing up in this thread?

Kei's performance was key today! Maybe he just needed to make the adjustment from Japan? Give him a couple more starts.

Figures it would take something fluky like Karstens getting injured and Igawa of all people saving the day to end that damn streak.

Finally! The winning streak starts here! Wang is going to win tomorrow. That bats need to wake up because we had so many chances to score where we didnt. But i really think the pitching is starting to come around. With Wang back and moose on his way, plus Hughes, I think the rotation will settle down.

Maybe they should threaten Igawa with demotion to the pen before every game he pitches?

perhaps you should miss games more often, knicks games that is. We might actually win! :)

Anyway, sincere congratulations to the Yankees for finally winning a baseball game. :P

Hughes needs to have better command to be successful
