De-activate Ogunleye or play Gaines Adams at OLB?

Post#1 » by SpinninHouse » Fri Nov 13, 2009 6:24 pm

We're 4-5 with games against Philly, Minnesota, and the Ravens left. I really think it's time to start thinking about next year. We have some unknowns. Probably most pressing is Gaines Adams. Who is Gaines Adams? Is he a starting DE in the NFL? Is he a hybrid OLB? Seriously. I think we need to find out THIS season.

So my question is, with some of the completely average vets who will not be back (ie Ogunleye) do we de-activate them or bench them? Ogunleye is gone. Vasher is gone. Hillenmeyer is gone. Do we continue to trot these guys out? I mean, I understand Hillenmeyer playing because injuries have decimated our LB core and we have nobody else at MLB; but shouldn't some of our young guys get burn now?

What the hell is going on with DJ Moore? Does anybody know? Orlando Pace should definitely be benched but how about benching Kreutz?

What are your guys thoughts?

Too early.. I'm sure some of these things will happen once we continue to lose. We really need to find out what we have in Adams.
