Since the switch....Williams has played pretty well.

Tonight he was awesome.
A plea for post scoring is a plausible Bulls plan, but plainly isn't a priority. In response to a post player's dismay about his lack of points in the paint, Paxson said.... "I'm not nearly as concerned about the offensive stuff as he is."

I wonder how well our line was doing had to be attributed to Pat Williams not playing.

I also like this stat

Daniael Manning - 3 Returns 134 yards.
AMAZING.

Going into this game on offense I was only interested in Williams. The last 2 games have me wondering was Pace actually that horrible? The left side of the line was solid. I do however think Olin is on his last legs. Lots of mistakes from him this year IMO. I'll be watching Frank O against the Lions.

Devin A. has been solid since Hester went out. 17 catches 236 Yrds 2TD. A real indictment on the Bears coaching staff considering Cutler had to lobby for him not to get cut during the preseason then lobby for him to get PT. A total bonus. I would still like to go out and get a WR in FA to line up with Devin A & Knox. Wouldnt mind dealing Hester

The guys I watched on defense didnt show enough but I was at least happy that the coaches gave the G-Men extended time at the ends.

Nice to see BF go down. Now the rumblings can grow large in Minn.

Fantastic game to watch, Aromu looks like he might be the answer at WR is he can continue to develope. Cutler played nearly flawless, that's the Cutler we should hope for.

Not sure if anyone's said it yet, but - Bears looked better w/o Hester. :D

I'd say put him back on kickoffs, but even Manning is playing with more burst.

I think you try to move Hester and hope you can get a low 2nd round pick for him. Or move him to the slot next season as others on this board have suggested.

What a lousy season.

What a great game...definitely an E-Ticket ride, though.

For the future, the 3 best things were these, IMO:

- Williams was stout against the best. For the first time, the idea that he can be our left tackle of the future looks viable.

- Devin A established himself as a keeper. Cutler (and all QBs) MUST have at least one receiver with size who can make a play.

- Cutler had a game that reminded us of why we were excited this summer.
Until the actual truth is more important to you than what you believe, you will never recognize the truth.

I think you approach Hester about restructuring his contract. All his incentives and bonuses rely on positive impact at the WR position. If he doesn't restructure, he'll never agree to be just a punt/kick returner.

I think Williams was the MVP of the game. Those times he held up on Allen in one on one situations allowed us to double elsewhere.

Only the Bears would take conceivably the best return man of all time and try to make him a number 1 receiver. Hester's was dominant in the return game when that was his focus.

I think that we should make that his focus again and give him a couple of packages on offense where we can get him the ball in space.

Sort of how the Vikings used to use David Palmer back in the day.

Seeing how well Cutler does with Aromashadou makes me wonder how he would have done this season with Brandon Rideau on the other side.

Really? Really? Stretch to find something that can use MNF-ESPN, then plop an ABC logo on it for no reason.

lol I hear ya WEFFPIM. Here's the explanation.

ESPN had national coverage, but ABC had the Chicago local coverage.

And Disney owns all, ESPN, ABC, etc. Even owning a bunch of shares in Time Warner, so yea, Disney pretty much controls TV.

Probably doesn't deserve it's own thread but Jay Cutler was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week today. Congrats Jay.
