As you know, the Bears have 6 safeties on roster (I'm not going to count Scott Quentin). It is highly unlikely that will still be 6 come roster cuts. So who is the odd man out? Keep in mind, they may get rid of two. I did not include Major Wright or Chris Harris in the poll because they are locks. Who do you think it will be?

Personally, I gotta think Bullocks because all of the others are showing tons of potential

It will be Bullocks if we indeed keep 5. For some reason the organization is a lot higher on Steltz than I am.

Steltz contributes on special teams, which is why they like him. ICLO though, we can't afford to carry 5 safeties when we'll need to carry 5 corners. Our safeties should be:
- Chris Harris
- Major Wright
- Danieal Manning
- Al Afalava

...along with the corners:
- Charles Tillman
- Zack Bowman
- Corey Graham
- Josh Moore
- Woodny Turenne

Defiantly Bullocks, he doesn't bring anything at all to the table wheras the others atleast contribute in some way &/or show an upside.

-Afalava is young & showed some potential in spurts last season.

-As Cliff said, Steltz contributes on special teams & Toub loves him. On defense, just as long the coaches use him in the right places/situations & keep him as far away from free safety as possible.....he should make the 53. IMO he needs to be kept on the STRONG side & be used ONLY in short fields & goalline situations in order to negate his lack of quickness & cover up his bigger weaknesses such as deep single-coverage.

-Not a big Manning fan, but he does have the experience, so as long as he is kept deep on the chart he can sub at just about any secondary position if we really get in a pinch.

It should be more interesting at CB as to who we'll end up keeping than at safety as I think Steltz is a lock to make it. DJ Moore and Tim Jennings are both missing from you're list.

Yeah, i doubt Woodny will make it. Wouldn't be surprised if D.J. Moore misses too. I do think Steltz will make it though. I also wouldn't be surprised if this is Manning's last year. Tim Jennings is a lock, the coaches think very highly of him
