We won & you lost. End of the debate in my view.

I'm not debating anything, but you keep arguing with everything I say, so stop talking about it.

If you would never have come to our thread with your "Lions are better than the Bears....We will have a better record than your Bears...etc" posts, then I would never have had to give it to you 100.

Hell, I'm a huge NFL fan & a TRUE Bears fan that was not happy with our overall effort today. That being said, there is no way that I can allow a Lions (of all teams...lol) fan to come to a Bears board & belittle my team especially after WE JUST BEAT YOU.

BTW, 100 means 100% which means REAL.

Lions 168 total yards to the Bears 463, I wouldn't be able to say the Lions were the better team today if I was a Lion fan. But good for you.

Both teams scored 2 touchdowns (lions really scored 3), so it took the Bears 300 extra yards of offense to net 2 field goals. I wouldn't be bragging about that. 468 empty yards is what they were. You couldn't pick up one yard when it counted in 4 tries. Lots of yards with no pts is a bad sign, not good,

So, let me get this straight...You would rather have your team get outgained by 300 yards? You think that it is better to be outagined by such a huge margin?...REALLY?!?

You are so obviously spinning things to fit your argument. If the situation was reversed you would be on here screammg that the better team lost because of how much more dominant their offense was than the other team. Luckily for me, I get to do that now...LOL

Lions are getting better, but the best you can hope for is a split w/the Bears this season, so get over it!

Thoughts on the Bears:
Forte looked very good out of the backfield, ran great routes and (obviously) made a couple of nice catches.

Urlacher played his best game in years, he was everywhere and got there under control, which should be a pleasant development for y'all.

I like how the defense smelled blood and attacked once Stafford was out. I think the Lions coaching staff helped in that regard by going into a shell, but credit to the Bears for flipping that turtle over and over again.

I thought Cutler looked a lot like Jon Kitna in his days running this offense in Detroit. I thought he did a nice job in identifying the coverage mismatch and throwing at it.

Peppers just dominated Jeff Backus. I like how Pep set up his moves and played off the interior guys. One of the knocks in CAR was that he did his own thing too much and didn't react off the DTs' actions, but he did a nice job of that here. Mark Anderson played more physical and pulled off a good inside swim move a couple of times, haven't seen that from him before.

The OL was dominated, but what surprised me about it was that the pass protection was better than the run blocking. Olin Kreutz was absolutely manhandled by Corey Williams and Sammie Hill, and the guards couldn't help because they were assigned to work on the DEs and LBs.

I don't remember if any got flagged (one did IIRC) but the kickoff return unit's blocking was complete and utter holding across the board. Twice I saw they horse-collared a Lions coverage man--once out of bounds for good measure. That needs to get cleaned up ASAP.

I'm a Lions fan and I'm not going to come here and whine about the Johnson TD, but watch the replay of the very next play: Johnson got hit in the head by a DB before the ball got there, no flag. It's nice to open at home
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Yeah, Ic. I was waiting for a flag on 3rd down there, too.

who is saying that we were not the better team out there today?

we totally smashed them in total yardage. which also says how dominant the defense was. our dline was sick, we got to the qb we forced turn overs. and we won.

so many debbie downers on this board its ridiculous.

Like I said earlier in this thread, if our O-Line gets their s*** together & we are blessed with no significant injuries, we will be in the Playoffs.

We need to try something new on the goal line. Forte was terrible last year at goal line conversions and we got stuffed 4 consecutive times on the 1 that could of lost us the game.

Wasn't Henry Melton a RB prior to moving to the D-Line on the national champion team in Texas? Isn't he huge? Give him a shot at the goal line!

It's worth a try but I blame the O-line more than I blame our running backs.

Cliff Levingston would've spread them out wide on the goal line in order to get some guys off the line of scrimmage, then either tried a quick slant, a fade to Aromashodu or maybe a quick inside handoff with only a man to beat (hopefully). This offensive line is bad to start with, but at least they can pass block from time to time. When it comes to the power running game though; we're easily the worst line in the league. So, stop playing to our weaknesses!

So we got the win. I don't get to see the games, being that I'm here in Australia, so can someone give me a recap? How did the offense and defense do? And the team overall? Who played well and who played badly?

I hope someone can help me out here.
