I think Martz is going senile.

I actually feel good about the rest of the season though. Hanie slowly got better as the game went on. I think he will play a little better next week. Oakland isn't exactly a welcoming environment for your first game as a starting quarterback in the nfl. His progression throughout the game from atrocious player to decent backup was encouraging.

That interception on 2nd down and inches at the end of the first half that kept us from scoring and ended with Oakland's field goal was at least a 6 point swing. If we kick a field goal there we go into the lockerroom up 10-9.

The defense made key stop and held them to field goals over and over, but they also only forced one turnover.

Also, Lance Louis kept us in the game. Great play to save a touchdown. Plus he did an excellent job blocking.

That was an outstanding hustle play by Louis, he was great today.

So it would have been only a couple yard difference if we didn't get the play off. Why is it so hard for the OC to relay plays? When we burned the TO, they showed Cutler just shaking his head.

And that time out resulted in knox big play on 3rd and long. fyi bears were in their own 10 3rd and 16 with 3:10 to go trailing 13-25. it wasnt a bad TO imo.

it couldve been alot of things that caused that delay. i dont know what martz could ve done to help hanie. all the throws he got was easy, confidence building throws and hanie missed alot of those easy passes. its always easy to blame the coach but coachs dont get credit when the team comes through. bears can still go 3-3. dont need to blame anyone in this game. bears didnt deserve a win today

The fact that a good play comes after a waste of a timeout does not justify it. The point is that we should be able to get the plays in on time in the 1st place. I believe we've burned more timeouts than any team in the league (at least in the 1st half). We should be able to get plays in on time. I don't blame the loss on the TO or the coaches. Bottom line - you throw 3 picks on the road, you probably aren't going to win.

Final numbers on offense?

Hanie completed 18 of 36 passes for 254 yards and the Bears totaled a season-best 401 yards of offense.

It really didn't seem like we were moving the ball at all.

It is cause we never had good field position.

The run game wasn't really working either. Marion Barber was really good, was running with head of steam, but Forte was awful and had no room to run since Oakland was expecting it. Not saying Martz was good but he was better then people are saying. Hanie was just that awful.

Sometimes it seems that fans think we are a OC firing away from being one of the greatest teams ever. This cry has been heard for as long as I can remember.

Yes, most people expected this to be a loss anyway. The Bears are still in great position to make the playoffs with Cutler back and healthy. 3 weak teams in a row, and 2 at home. You can't get too disappointed with this loss.

The Broncos aren't really weak anymore. Their defense is fantastic which isn't good for a team with a bad QB.
