I didn't get to see the game last night but it's on NFL Network at 3 today so I'll watch that.
I did see the Idonije sack/FF (Major Wright is ridiculously fast, and that would've been a sack on the majority of QBs in the league) and the Lorenzo Booker return. What happened to the blocking on that return???? Those were some sick moves though.
I'll be keeping my eye on Webb and Williams as usual, but also Chilo Rachal since I think he will be our starting LG.
Hopefully Conte is 100% for the opener and Hardin can make a full recovery.

Really impressed by the whole team specifically Conte Wright and Idonije. Nothing spectacular from the LBs but they did a solid job. See no weakness in the secondary. Only thing I'm really worried about are the tackles. I think we should give Jeff Oath, can't really hurt with Webb being our starting T. I think every OL position is set except LT (Louis Garza Rachal and Carimi) and Contanzo and Roach will be in as the other two LBs while Urlacher is out.
EDIT: Also Jeffrey showed that he is legit and shutdown any concern about his conditioning

I think Rachal took the starting LG spot in this game. I prefer Williams over Webb but that's still up in the air. I was really impressed by what Wright and Conte were doing back there. Idonije made some great plays. Jeffery is clearly our #2 receiver IMO. And our linebacking corp is very deep this year with Hayes, Costanzo and Thomas as the backup (stark contrast to last year's linebacking corp being terrifyingly thin).

i was unhappy with both spencer and rachal more then either of the 2 lf. Put webb and williams in at same time again, i'm guessing wiliams at lg is better then spencer or rachal.
Brown can be swing tackle, spencer, williams, rachal can fight it out for other 2 active spots each week.

Our season will hinge upon this O-Line.
If they can capably do their job, we have a legit chance to win it all (barring injuries).

Can't help but think we're going to be o-line players on the waiver wire when cuts are made.
Turn down for what?

Re: Preseason Week 2: Redskins @ Bears
^^^I'm not happy the way some people are after this game. And again Jim Miller seems to exist to provide excuses and a sunny disposition for the O-Line. The tackles seem vulnerable to bull rushes, and the entire line still can't hold protection very long, pick up delayed rushes, or provide a big pocket the way a good line should be able to. The way Denver protected Manning. Cutler was pressured and hit a few too many times V the 'Skins for my liking, not to mention what happened to Jason Campbell. I think again, the Bears will default to running the ball to set up the pass out of neccessity. The Bears can move the ball through the air, but they will expose Cutler to injury if they rely too heavily on that.
