Its become obvious to me that we're not going to win a super bowl with this o-line unless they start drinking some of MJ's stuff from space jam. All three loses have come from teams with a ferocious pass rush. Come playoff time our all our opponents will have to do is blitz and they win. If you can get to the QB in the playoffs you're going to win. Look at the 2007 superbowl. Pats have a generational O line and the Gmen dominate them and win. If teams go at the bear's oline that way we won't even have a chance.

We have to trade up in the draft (this years 1st and next years 2nd or 3rd) and take one of the LT (Joeckel or Lewan, ). Draft a replacement for Garza in the 2nd round (Barrett Jones, Khaled Holmes, or Jonathan Cooper)
Sign a good FA lineman( Jake Long, Ryan Clady, Sebastian Vollmer, or Duane Brown) I think Long was already hit with the tag so I think he can hit the market without interference,

The Bears put in their veteran highly paid backup and he looks completely lost. I realize that the Bears have personnel issues, but this is a huge black mark for the coaching staff.

By complex offense u mean an offense that usually is low scoring and lives on fgs, then yes.

The Bears offense only mustered 7 freakin points. 0 at the half. Theres plenty of blame to throw around, The Bears D shouldnt have allowed a rookie qb, who i believe isnt that talented, to do that to them.

The offense shouldnt be making pee-wee offenses look prolific. (With all due respect to those in the offense that are actually performing. Marshall.)

Chilo Rachal left the team for personal reasons.

Wow... Kaepernick is starting after one good game. Sucks to be Alex Smith.

Here you go:

Chicago Bears starting left guard Chilo Rachal has left the team for personal reasons and has been placed on the reserve/left squad list, the team announced.

A source familiar with the situation told ESPNChicago.com's Michael C. Wright that Rachal became upset after he was told he was being replaced in the starting lineup by Chris Spencer for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

According to league rules, Rachal has five days to return to the team or he won't be able to return this season.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The Bears elevated rookie guard/tackle James Brown from the practice squad to fill Rachal's roster spot. Brown was a rookie free agent out of Troy who played well at times in the preseason but failed to make the initial 53-man roster.

Carimi has also lost his starting job:

The Chicago Bears informed second-year right tackle Gabe Carimi on Wednesday that he won't be in the starting lineup Sunday when the club faces the Minnesota Vikings, according to multiple sources.

The move came on a day of sweeping changes at Halas Hall for an offensive line that gave up six sacks Monday night in a 32-7 loss at San Francisco. The Bears demoted left guard Chilo Rachal, who subsequently left the team on Wednesday in favor of veteran Chris Spencer.

Spencer started the first two games of the season before giving way to Rachal.

Carimi's replacement at this point is unknown, but the most likely candidate for the job is veteran Jonathan Scott, a sixth-year veteran who has started in 28 games for the Detroit Lions (2006-07), Buffalo Bills (2009) and Pittsburgh Steelers (2010-11).

Rachel will probably never be allowed on another NFL team after this incident. He basically QUIT on his team.

I would also like to mention that this reeks of desperation from out coaching staff. I can't even justify how changing out our O-Line after 10 games into the season will help more than hurt. This signals to me that Mike Tice's job is in serious jeopardy.

Speaking on Tice. I just noticed this in the WT:

Mike Tice will remain the playcaller of the Chicago Bears.

With the offensive line struggling of late, it has been suggested that Tice focus on improving that unit.

"There's no consideration at all on that," Lovie Smith said. "I don't know where you [the media] got that from. I doubt if Mike really said that but if he did, I can stop that right now. That's not part of it at all.

" Mike works with the offensive line quite a bit with [offensive line coach] Tim Holt. We need to do a better job with it, like we all need to do a better job. Beyond that it's just business as we've been doing."

I'm not sure our O-Line can get much worse, so I'm fine with the change.

I don't see how it will be an improvement, especially with Spencer who was benched for Rachal when he couldn't get the job done. Only thing we can hope for is that sitting out has motivated him to play harder? IDK...it's improbable that this current line will get better this year. Hopefully they just do well enough to not let Cutler or Forte get hurt.

But how can it get worse? I just can't contemplate how we can allow more pressure to get to Cutler/Campbell than we already have this season.

They may not get worse, but I don't see it getting better really. Just feels like lateral moves at best. This line isn't going to improve until the off-season. Hopefully they draft the right players or sign someone in free agency.
