The Chicago Bears' signing Tuesday of tight end Martellus Bennett to a four-year, $20 million contract made Kellen Davis immediately expendable, and the former fifth-round draft pick from Michigan State was released Wednesday, a league source confirmed.

Sweet!! I like Big Toe, but his performance is not worth what we are paying. Hopefully we can pick up one or two more people in FA, and resign Urlacher and Izzy. Thats probably a pipe dream though. Not enough money unless contracts are restructured.

I think its more important for us to keep Louis than Izzy since we have Wootton and McClellin ready to step up.

Why not stick Izzy at DT, and have him and Melton provide beaucoup inside rush?
