I'll always appreciate what Brian did for the Bears, but I think his situation is just like Kreutz's was. My guess is that he'll get a nice payday somewhere and then end up retiring.

We actually got beat by the vikes when url was out. We beat them handily just a couple weeks before.

Right now if the bears havent even counter offered they are telling brian to sign somewhere else.
Sure 5.5 is too much but it seems like the bears arent even trying to sign him for cheaper.

To me, the fact that Urlacher hasn't even been sniffed around that much by other teams, leads me to believe that he's a lot worse off physically than we thought.

I think that's a big part of it. I think the other part is there's still decent vets out there and after the initial rush it becomes a buyers market.

I love Brian but his comments this past season has turned alot of his hardcore fans off he is a shell of himself but bring him back for a season and see what happen.
