Maybe with the money freed up with Urlacher we will be able to keep him.

Yep. I think that they earmarked money to bring back a few select players.

Louis and Hayden are much bigger priorities to me than Idonije at this point. And Brandon Moore and Bryant McKinnie if we still have a chance to get those guys.

Yeah I was really hoping we could get moore so we can slide Garza back to his natural position.

That way we can just get younger on defense through the draft.

Moore is a guard. The only way we get Garza off center is the draft. I like Jones and Schwenke to step right in. Then i think we can cut Garza.

Here's the cap hits we're taking on all the players we've signed so far this off-season.
http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/chicago-bears/cap-hit/

Melton -$8,450,000
Bushrod -$3,015,000
Bennett -$1,940,000
Williams -$900,000
Collins -$715,000
Bowman -$620,000
Zbikowski -$555,000
McBride -$555,000
Total -$16,750,000

The reason the cap hit on some of the players are so low is because of the minimum salary benefit. Steve Maneri's contract terms still haven't been disclosed. We saved about $4.55M after cutting Davis, Spaeth and Toeaina.

At the bottom of the page to that link it shows our total cap figure: $120,116,249. That gives us just under $3M to work with.

Thanks, boss. And I cross-checked this source against a bunch of Chicago Tribune and ESPN reports so the numbers are definitely accurate accurate.
