Say goodbye to JWebb Nation

Post#1 » by fleet » Fri Aug 30, 2013 6:58 pm

J'Marcus Webb @jmarcuswebb

Good bye, Chicago! I gave you 3 years of me.
7:08 AM - 30 Aug 2013

The Chicago Bears have cut J'Marcus Webb.

Webb took a pay cut earlier in August.

Jordan Mills will start for the Bears at right tackle.

Webb started 44 of the 46 games he played for the Bears over the past three years.

Jay Cutler demonstratively yelled at Webb during a nationally televised loss to the Green Bay Packers last season.

J'Marcus, you of no ability (or willingness) to bend your knees and waist to block people, you of all the size and mobility an NFL team looks for, you of no real determination to do your job in general that was equal to your determination to maintain your twitter page........Good day to you sir!

I don't have twitter, but apparently Alex Brown's wife responded to his narcissistic tweet.

That two-bit imbecile should be thankful towards Chicago for endowing him the opportunity to make a living as a professional athlete. Narcissistic statements like the one found on his twitter shows the low level of intelligence this man possesses. The urgency for him to grow up should be high.

The dropoff from either Matt Kallil or Phil Loadholt to J'Marcus Webb would be enormous. It would realisticly take an injury to an important player on the Vikings OL for Webb to see the field. He's not going to "win" the opportunity within that group.

My guess is they liked the fact that he was cheap (due to the paycut he took), had experience starting on both sides so he could be a plausible back up to both spots, and he may be able to give them a few kernels about the Bears new offense. They didn't acquire him to enhance their starting five.
