Hadnt thought of it. But the Bulls don't have the right DTs or secondary, nor have they practiced it. And they need more versatile corners. That can't happen until this spring summer when they draft a thicker tackle with a big butt in the first round and install it.

This is bad. Most conference winners or challengers have a real nice pair of DTs. Or at least one. Not meh.

We aren't in the Bulls forum fleet :p

Anyways, I'd love to play a 3-4 but like my buddy fleet said they don't have the experience to run it / personnel.

I still think Melton was a bit overrated. Most of his stats came against mediocre teams last year and he (among others) sort of faded towards the end. I think the line will be fine, assuming Peppers hasn't regressed as we think he has. Moving Peppers and Wooten inside on occassion will help. Collins was already in the rotation and was getting good marks. Sometimes I think sometimes a guy will make the Pro Bowl or All Star game one year and everyone automatically considers them as not replaceable. There are positions on this team that would hurt us much more if we had an injury there.

If the offense continues to progress, the defense will spend less time on the field and be less of a factor. If the offense stagnates or regresses, then we would have had trouble with or without Melton.
2024: Maybe there's some hope?
