Urlacher being gone hurts. His ability in coverage covered up for a few chronic issues. Hopefully the pass rush is adressed in hears to come. Meanwhile The Shea Mac playing end experiment can't end for me soon enough.

Mcclein has been fine over all. Our issues are more with peppers.

Right? WTF? This Bears thing in particular, and the NFL in general.... I don't know what to think. I guess all you can do is shrug and be damn glad we're 3-0.

I think we are blitzing way to much with the safeties. That's why Big ben was able to get it to his targets up the field.

The pass rush was bad. It probably won't get much better. That is acceptable as long as the Bears get 4 turnovers or so every game. The secondary was affected by both that and Peanut being out. Bowman sucks always did. And Melton is probably gone. This does not look like Superbowl defense is in their future. They need the offense to be way way better. Unfortunately the line completely folded at one point pass protecting. Not an an ouraging win.

Yeah the melton thing sucks. I also feel the probability that Melton is gone. Like emperor jones said Cart=IR so i think its looks bleak.
With that depressing season altering reality out of the way, the defense put up some good numbers by the end of the game but at what expense the loss of Melton vs a line not exactly described as formidable.

I hope the bears dont fall in love with a fools gold d. Like recent packers Ds putting up big sack and int numbers but being in the bottom half of the league. It eventually will not hold up.
I love scoring, ints as much as the next guy, but if at the expense of yardage and scoring there is only one way this will go.
And with Melton gone i thinks ok to go into panick mode regarding the D who is right now is ranked 18th.

I don't mind them turning it up a notch on Lovie's defense, because I always felt he was too passive at times. But, I'm wondering if Tucker is too aggressive. When blitzes don't get home, you kill your secondary.

As for Melton, it sucks. But, on the bright side, he was having a lousy year. Maybe next man up takes advantage and has a break out year.

Am I the only one who thinks Jeffery looks like he doesn't have control of his extremities when he plays?

Yeah, but we're 20-something in both total offense and defense.

I'm sure we were probably mid range both defense and offense before last game, which was pretty bad for the team rankings.

It's not a huge deal, but the worst part is we're bottom 5 in both sacks (5) and yards allowed per pass (8.8) Both issues stem from lack of production from our D-Line.

3-0 is 3-0 though. Let's be happy. This team won't win the superbowl like this, but they can make the playoffs and maybe win a game or 2.

Does anyone know if the league has said anything about Antonio Brown's cheapshot on Chris Conte yet? Man... what an a-hole.

I know that this Bears team is flawed, but that was an awesome play and following this team this year has been so much fun.
