Time to tank?

Post#1 » by bearadonisdna » Mon Oct 21, 2013 7:11 pm

The bears still have no identity. Even within the organization the talking point is that is an entire new team, a lot of new parts and it will take some time for them gel. Maybe even past this season so that leads to my question a loss to the packers leaving us next to last in the division should the bears just freakin tank? They have a more limited shelflife than last years 10-6 bears team.

We all know generally this is basketball website where tanking is a common place talking point so i pose that question in this forum.

Let's see what Green Bay does to us first. I still have a shread of faith that, after a bye week, they may be able to turn the ship around. You win at Green Bay and you're still alive. Then you have some motivation for Detroit at home. Keep hope alive!

If we beat Greenbay after the bye, we win the division. So no.

Anyway, its not like the NBA where its a top 5 pick or nothing. You can get great talent throughout the first 3-4 rounds, its about scouting, elvaluations etc.... So no.

correct,if we beat GB than thetanking narrative goes to the backburner.
but unlike the nba the bears could lock themselves into a higher pick without worrying about the lottery. I havent looked at the total league standings yet but yea i guess ur right their current four wins probably already takes them out of top 5 pick territory.

Well now...seems we beat GB, so the division is a possiblity - especially with Cutlet back against the Lions for 1st place.

And 1. The division should be locked up actually. We need to beat the lions and just be a better team then them for the rest of the season which should be too hard as long as megabum doesnt have miracle games.
