Wow the offense played great all the way around.
If we can get a grip on our run d we could make noise until we meet the sf or seattle.

Titans are interested in him. We'll see. It would be really dumb to let him walk for nothing considering how much we gave up for him.
I still think you franchise him and draft a QB. Then see how things go next season before committing long term money on him. I have never doubted Cutler's talent and have always said that he was set up for failure with this Bears team for his first 3-4 seasons with us. But the guy just can't stay healthy. Hard to commit big money, on such an important position, on a guy that is consistently going to miss games.
I think we might sign him to a long-term deal right off the bat. That makes him more valuable to whoever we trade him to since they know he will have to stay. Or if he plays really well, then we keep him and his contract is a bargain.
ughh I hope not if someone wants him you tag him and get the pick or picks and rebuild the offense and draft a young qb prospect

It's a really tough situation, and I'm really not sure what the Bears best option is. I'm very concerned that McCown will come back down to Earth. He's a 34 year old career journeyman backup who's never a good string of games together before this season.
I think we draft a QB semi early no matter what, though. McCown is old and Jay is a semi injury prone question mark.
Its a lot tougher than anyone expected thats for sure. I also think we have to look at drafting another QB, but is there one that is worth a good draft pick? I dont know. I think McCown hs shown enough that he can do this for another year, and he is a capable stop gap for us. Also depends on what kind of money Cutler is looking for. I dont want to throw any crazy money on him when we will need a good amount of money for our defense. There is no assurance that we franchise him either, so a ton of thinking for our F/O.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

The offense doesn't need to be rebuilt.

Oh crap I meant use the picks to rebuild the defense .Im not opposed to him returning at all but no way jay should be back at anywhere near his current sticker price

That's how it's done!
I really wonder what is going on with Briggs. We could really use him right now. Thankfully the Browns have zero running game.
I'm so impressed with Alshon. He's 2nd in the NFC in receiving yards right now. He's got the best hands I've ever seen, anything that touches those mits is coming with him.

Enter Bears run defense...
Just remember that Brandon Jacobs ran for 106 yards and 2 td's.

My thoughts exactly. As the Rock would say: "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOUR RUNNING BACK IS!!!!"

2024: Maybe there's some hope?
