Well, I may have underrated him because of the stats, but I still agreed with you on premise - he's probably equal to Smith in terms of defensive prowess.
2024: Maybe there's some hope?

He was also the dc in cinci in 03-04
03-28th
04-19th ( but i read on his wikipedia page that they were third in turnovers.)

When leaving in 05 the d feel back to 28th.
he was credited for improving them.

It would be great to bring Frazier back to Chicago.

Its not looking that way my friend. Seems to be a good chance Tucker returns.

Just saw O'Brien wants Crenel to be his DC in Houston. I believe that frees up Wade Phillips.

I know I'm harping on this... but the Niners seem to own the Packers the past couple of seasons. They are 4-0 against them if you include the playoffs. Yesterday Rodgers had 177 yards passing, and of their two TDs, one of them was after a turnover and the other was a gift by the refs on 4 and 2 for not calling an obvious hold on what would have been a drive ending sack.

I would love to see Jim Leavitt, the current LB coach for the Niners work his magic on Jon Bostic the way he did with Navarro Bowman and bring that Packer killing scheme to the Bears. Donte Whitner is also a FA and could shore up our safety situation while also helping us implement that defense. Draft Tuitt and I think we can have a helluva turnaround on D.

There are other DC candidates I'd be stoked for us to get (Wade Phillips and Horton to just name two) but I think this guy is going to be the real deal for the first team to give him a spin running the defense.
