How about they stop running it on the first 2 downs, right up the gut, with a stacked box where it results in 3rd and long most of the time?
Putting Trubisky in that type of position consistently is just plain idiotic and there's no excuse for it.

Wright is a great slot receiver but is useless in a jumbo and is limited because we dont have anyone outside
Mcbride showed some promise in several routes and turned them into big plays
Sims had several drops
The play by play guy showed on screen just how the bears receiver were doing Mitch no favors because they could get no separation .
They showed another with Gentry on a comeback route and not being able to get the DB out of his back pedal .
The things the bears receivers ate struggling with are not things you can scheme around and are things that usually get addressed in the off season . If you cant beat your man at the los you either get fixed in the offseason or you are not long for the NFL .
Look at Shaheen on that redzone pass where he gets jammed by that little db at the los and cant get beat him.
This is the reason why Inman is here because you have to find someone on the OUTSiDE who can get a clean release.
The passing game is limited because of the personnel because weve seen Loggains willing to throw the ball 40+ times with Matt Barkley so if these guys showed even a hint of being able to consistently produce Loggains would use that
Kendall Wright can create separation in short and intermediate routes. Miller, before he dislocated his leg, has been able to get separation before. None of these players are elite at running routes and beating DB's, but they're both capable. Miller's gone now, but I still don't think the offense was giving them much of a chance to do anything.
I understand that you have to limit the passing game to some degree, but you don't have to completely suck the air out of it. Otherwise, these are the results you get. It's even harder to create separation on clear passing downs, when teams know you're going to pass. That's the Bears problem. Teams know what they're going to do and they don't do it well.
Wright is a slot receiver and thats why hes not on the field the majority of the time . We are playing a TWO TE packages and Millers not getting separation down the field .
Without anyone to get open behind the defense you are not fooling many defenses thats why the Bears have to pound it because they have to get and hold the focus of the defenses to open up potential plays for these receivers.
We dont have the pass protection, weapons,or execution abilities to pass the way everyone wants us too. We have to set things up first and if they dont execute well enough to set those things up we struggle if we need to throw it . Last game we had almost a 50-50 pass run ration and threw often on 1st down and 2nd down again its not scheme or play calling is personnel right now that limits us right now .
The Bears are a running team

Re: Bears @Saints
Is anyone else pissed off about the BS job the NFL tried to sell us on overturning Miller's TD? They literally darkened where the ball WAS and pointed to an area where it was not in order to justify their blown call.
Slap in the face. Man up and admit you made a mistake.
