Source please. Spotrac.com has Keenum at $8mil base plus $3mil signing bonus plus $4mil roster bonus vs Daniels at $2mil base plus $2mil roster bonus.

In 2019, Daniel is at a $4mil base with a $2mil roster bonus. That's at the top end for a veteran backup, but the Arizona Cardinals are paying Mike Glennon a $2.5mil base with a $1mil signing bonus and a $0.5mil roster bonus. I'm inclined to trust Nagy and Pace with regard to whether Daniel is worth the premium.

Saw that the giants and Landon Collins have not talked contract yet. It looks like we’ll be resigning Amos and I’d love to have him back but my god Collins and Jackson would be all time historic

I'd like to see the Bears get WR Devin Funchess in free agency. At 6'4" 225 pounds, I think he'd be a great red-zone target. Certainly a better option than Kevin White.

After restructuring Long's deal and cutting Parkey, the Bears will habe $11.6m in . That could be enough to re-sign Amos and Callahan depending on how the bonuses are structured.

I'll be watching Elijah Holyfield through the pre-draft process. Could slip to the middle rounds because this is a deep running back class and I think he is a good all-around guy who runs angry

Well holyfield was the slowest RB at the combine so we can probably cross him off the list

Current state of the Bears:

They have $15.6M in salary cap. Top guys hitting free agency: Callahan, Amos, Lynch, RRH, Witzman, Bellamy, O'Donell, Braunecker, Coward, Irving.

Callahan and Amos will come down to negotiations. I expect most of the other 8 guys to be re-signed. I think Lynch is the least likely to come back because we can probably draft or sign a cheaper guy for the same production.

Howard may be traded for a 2nd or 3rd. That would make CB, RB, S, OLB, K the top needs (before guys are re-signed).

My ranking of the CBs for rounds 2 and 3: Oruwariye, Sheffield, Dean, Isaiah Johnson, Mullen, Ballentine. I think they could all come in as the Nickel or be the primary backup at all 3 CB positions and eventually replace Amukamara if Callahan re-signs.

If we trade Howard for a 2 or 3 I would target Miles Sanders in that area (along with a CB).

I think there will still be good pass rushers to choose from in round 4 or 5. The only guy I don't really like is Jalen Jelks.

Then we can look at K and OL (Bars?) and DL the rest of the way.

I would try to sign a safety (hopefully Amos) in FA because I think the rookie success rate for safeties is pretty low. Might be able to get a good veteran who wants to win on a bargain deal. Try to re-sign Ballentine, but not for more than $7m/yr. And veteran depth guys at OLB and RB (maybe Yeldon).

Per Ian Rappaport:
RB Mike Davis agreed to 2-year $6M
CB Buster Skrine agreed to 3-year $16.5M

Josh Bellamy reportedly going to MY Jets.

Le'Veon Bell starting to sound like a real possibility with Pace clearing 11 million more in cap space.

Can't they clear even more by cutting Sims?

They cut Sims a couple weeks ago.

How about Earl Thomas. Safety may now be our biggest hole on the roster thanks to Amos going to the packers. We cleared up all this space presumably to sign a big name and Thomas may be the best safety available this offseason

idk about that. That seems to be the market now with guys like collins and MAthiue getting 14/yr. and Amos had a better season than Collins this past season
