The article doesn't mention it but in the related video (http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5911630, the reporter mentions that tears like this take weeks to fix.

This could be a HUGE break for the Bears in two ways. First, obviously the metrodome is a tough place to play, particularly on a Monday night. But more importantly, taking the Vikings out of a dome for their home game against the Bears and putting them outside in the cold with a much smaller crowd is a MASSIVE disadvantage to them ("The outdoor TCF Bank Stadium opened on the Minnesota campus in 2009, and the Gophers have played two seasons there. It seats 50,000, down from the Metrodome's capacity of 64,000."). The other option the league is looking into is having them play in Detroit or Indy. Basically a neutral field as their fans won't all be traveling and Bear fans can flood easily into either of those stadiums.

People have been talking about the Bears getting lucky this season during games. Good and bad plays happen all the time. injuries happen all the time. But this? This is DAMN GOOD LUCK!

Not to mention the Vikes lose out on the extra day of rest. We'll be soakin in ice tubs Monday getting healthy while the Vikes will still have to play.

By the way this video of the roof coming down is insane...

if the city of minneapolis can't get rid of that godawful stadium then perhaps mother nature can.
