OT: What do you guys think of Cutler?

This article and just about every article out there paints Jay Cutler as a huge douche. The question is does it matter as long as he wins?

Yeah, but MJ was never a d-bag to his fans. Still, I think people just want to hate on Cutler no matter what.

Not caring what the media thinks doesn't make him a huge douche.

What I think of Cutler, well if the Bears can upgrade any position they should. I doubt they will get better than Cutler. Bears have needed a QB for years and years but not surprisingly you get one and nothing is good enough (this was evident early Rose too).

I would encourage Jay to talk less to the media now.

Let me add - I think it's very different if a guy wants to do endorsements (like Urlacher) and then doesn't want to talk to the public. Cutler doesn't.

Short version - Bears and everyone knew who Cutler was when they got him. Frankly I've found his reputation to be mostly undeserved, as he always talks to the media and dishes out the cliches they like.

Note to Rick Riley - Sorry your team sucks. Not my problem.

Idk about that, but the guy is not exactly Derrick Rose in his humility and selflessness.

If you are a douche and win, we'll love you for winning. If you are a douche and lose, we'll hate you for losing AND being a douche. Remember, we are all here, and watch the games for what happens on the court/field. That is always priority numero uno.

Eh it's not like I'm gonna be hanging out with the guy. I just want him to win football games. And Cutler has shown he's a competitive guy, and he's easily the best Bears qb I've seen.

I have never cared about this stuff. I don't care that people think LeBron is a douche and I certainly don't care what people think of Cutler.

As for him, the QB... I think he's got a lot of talent and I hope that he learns to throw the ball away more often and not force things.

i like cutler. i dont care how he is to the media. he doesn't owe the media anything. the minute he plays bad they'll write bad about him anyways. The dude has had 3 different OC's in 3 years. That is not going to help his development at all

I read that article earlier. I thought it was garbage. He clearly has an agenda against Cutler. The media is the only one who cares about that stuff, because they don't get enough juicy quotes for their articles.

The media is too hard on him. You don't win Super Bowls because of personality. Tom Brady is a bigger douche than Cutler and he has three rings.

I don't know. Anytime he does something it's not enough or he is doing too much. The way he acts makes people want to hate him.

I do agree that once he wins people will look past that.

Rick Reily lives in Colorado and is a Broncos season ticket owner. His article smacks of bias and bitterness. He hates Cutler and this is just a way he can attack him personally under the guise of an article.
