Seriously. This board is dead. No offense, but make me the moderator. I'll get it going again. You need a fan to make this work (no offense, but seriously)

Disappointed in the defense thus far. Expecting better effort against the run. FO is just horrible. Waiting for Carimu's return like you can't imaginE

Defense looks like 2009. No pressure from the front four = 3rd and long conversions. Not stopping the run on early downs. If not for special teams, we'd be down big

Disappointing win as far as the defense is concerned. Special teams secured this victory. Forte was awesome, but the defense leaves me questioning. 543 yards given up at home?!? Very bad feeling after the last 3 weeks on defense.

We won but, but not impressed how they won.

Was at the Brewers game today but was able to listen to a decent chunk of the game on the way to Milwaukee. A run game? A really bad rushing defense certainly helps, but my God, finally.

I thought the front four got pretty good pressure. On any other QB (except maybe Vick and Roethlisberger) they would've had at least four sacks. I saw two that Melton would've gotten, one for Toeina and one for Peppers. Newton is just a ridiculous athlete.
Once we get Chris Harris back I think our defense will be one of the best in the league. Meriweather is never in the right place.

Agreed. The scheme that Lovie runs is only successful when you have a stud DE (Peppers), stud weak-side LB (Briggs), & a stud at safety (Harris).
Just think back through the Lovie era & you guys will remember how the defense suffers when missing one or more of the three components that I listed above.
Thankfully we're sitting at 2 - 2 through our first 4 games while missing Harris, a HORRIBLE showing by our receiving corps (TE & FB drops included), & a scrapheap injury-riddled O-Line.

If Harris isn't back there against the Lions then they will crush us. Calvin Johnson will grab jump ball after jump ball if we have to rely on Meriweather getting to the spot. Harris is slow, but he's always where he's supposed to be.
