Injury Report

Eagles:

The Philadelphia Eagles were without tight end Brent Celek and running back LeSean McCoy during their Thursday practice leading up to the much-anticipated Monday night contest against the Chicago Bears.

McCoy was sent home early in the day with a stomach flu, according to a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer. Head coach Andy Reid said he expected McCoy to be back at practice Friday.

Celek missed the practice with a hip bruise, but said he expects to play Monday. The only other Eagle to miss practice was linebacker Akeem Jordan, who suffered a concussion last week against the Cowboys and has yet to be cleared to come back to practice.

Safety Nate Allen (knee), offensive tackle King Dunlap (back), offensive tackle Winston Justice (knee), defensive end Juqua Parker (ankle) and running back Owen Schmitt (groin) all made full participation in practice.

Defensive end Brandon Graham also continues to practice, despite being on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. The Eagles have until 4 p.m. Sunday to decide if they want to activate him for the Bears game or release him.

Bears:

Out: T Gabe Carimi (knee)

WEATHER OUTLOOK: 44/64f Mostly Sunny

Last Time They Met:

November 2010 Eagles at Bears
Bears 31 Eagles 26

Stat of the Week:

Winless in three career starts against Chicago, Vick has completed 58.4 percent of his passes for 803 yards and three touchdowns to go with three interceptions against the Bears.

Big game for us. Bigger game for Philly. We could still sneak into the playoffs if we go 4-4. If the lose to the Bears at home and drop to 3-5 they'd be basically toast with tie breakers and all.

That said, if we get this game and move to 5-3 we'd be in great shape heading into the Lion's game. As it is, I think the Lion's and Bears will be the wild card teams. It's great that we have the tie breaker against both Atlanta & Tampa. If we beat Philly, we'd have that one too. So big game.

If we extend our win-streak to four by beating the Eagles and Lions then we would be tied with the Lions for the Wild Card lead at 6-3. The Bears have improved in all aspects since the start of the season. Hopefully they continue the trend after the Bye Week.

Would be an impressive and unexpected win.

I don't know about that. We have a better record and arguably have had a harder schedule.

We better not get down early as their pass D is tough. I'm excited to see how things change with Earl back in the lineup. He is a trusted 3rd down option that should help us out quite a bit and allow Dane to be the 4th receiver. If we can run early on this team it'll be a tough close game. Hopefully Devin continues his prime time game heroics on special teams.

News is that shady McCoy didn't practice yesterday because he came down with the flu. I doubt that prevents him from playing but it could play a role.

I had this as a loss initially. Now I'm not so sure. I'm not impressed with philly killing Dallas as they had an extra week to prepare and basically I think Dallas is a below average team. i had them at 7-9 when the season started. If we can run the ball early like ChronicKerr says, AND stop the run, we can get after Vick. I think our speed at LB will limit his scrambling ability.

The bears will win this one. They have the better D and at the end of the day that will make the difference.

For whatever reason, we tend to play Vick well. Going back to his Falcon days.

I think it's been our speed at linebacker that has kept him in check honestly. Particularly urlacher.

PHILADELPHIA -- Bears nose tackle Anthony Adams is among the inactives for Monday night's game against the Eagles. Adams started the previous two games in place of Matt Toeaina. But with Toeaina now recovered from a knee injury, the Bears decided to keep Adams in street clothes. His healthy doesn't appear to be an issue.

Lovie Smith indicated last week Adams needed to step up his play.

"He's been OK. He needs to play better,'' Smith said. "Kind of simple as that. That's what he'll say, that he needs to play better. And he does."

Smith delivered the same message to defensive tackle Henry Melton, who remains in the starting lineup Monday.

Also inactive for the Bears are running back Kahlil Bell, quarterback Nathan Enderle, defensive ends Corey Wootton and Mario Addison, tackle Gabe Carimi, and linebacker Jabara Williams.

I want to know when the local press is going to get on Sanzendropper like they are Williams? He's tops in the league or near the top in drops.

Halftime thoughts....

Ever feel like you just watched one full hour of commercials in a 1.5 hour span?

The score gives no indication how much we have dominated the Eagles in this half.

Agree with Biggie - when has the wildcat ever worked for us?

Raise your hand if you saw Louis squash the hell out of Cole ! Nice! LANCE LOUIS!!!

The more I watch the Bears, the more I realize a QB like Cutler who threads the needle needs a physical receiver who will fight for the ball (unlike Hester and Knox). Roy Williams was supposed to be that guy.

Welcome back, Earl Bennett !

I couldn't care less if we caught a break on that roughing call to set up the TD - we were the victim of two bad calls on my count (missed pass interference on a missed Hester catch and a questionable offensive pass interference call on Bennett).

The whole Eagles team is nothing but a bunch of punks.

That is all.

I'm guilty of ignoring his drops, also. I won't anymore because that drop led to the Eagles scoring a TD just one play later.

That series was a disaster.
1st down: Cutler under throws Hester on a would-be long touchdown pass.
2nd down: Sanzenbacher drops an easy catch that was gonna lead to a first down & extra yardage.
3rd down: Forte fumbles & the Eagles pick it up and score.

I'm thinking we don't hear Forte gabbing about his contract after this game.

2 fumbles 14 points. Giving the game away when it was in control.

I can't believe Cutler actually looked Roy Williams way after that complete muff.

I think I've seen enough of Roy Williams to know I don't want him on my team any more.

I also have seen enough of Sanzenbacher to know he's practice squad fodder.

The Steelers have no less than 4 WRs better than any of our guys. FOUR.
