Who you got? Predict the Bears final 7 games

Post#1 » by Cooookie Crisp » Tue Nov 15, 2011 11:11 pm

Bears have 7 games remaining:
vs. SD- Big toss up for me but since the bears are at home and Rivers has turnover issues I'll say the bears pull out the victory narrowly.

@ Oak- If Mcfadden is back for this game and Carson plays well I think the bears struggle and lose this game on the road.

vs. KC- The bears shut down the the run and make the chiefs one dimensional, while the offense exploits a bad chiefs defense mainly on the ground. Bears win.

@ Den- I refuse to buy into the Tebow hype, he's a running back disguised as quarterback. The bears will stack the box and shut down their run game and with no passing game the broncos won't play well. Obviously it's also Cutler's return to Denver and he'll will play a great game. Bears win pretty handily.

vs. Sea- The seahawks are bad and the bears won't falter at home. Bears win.

@ GB- Unless GB has the division locked up by this time and while the bears do one of the best jobs of containing Rogers, I just don't see the bears doing enough to stop a really good GB offense. Bears lose.

@ Min- The bears likely still needing a win to secure a playoff spot will go into the metrodome and beat up on the viks. Bears win.

So 5-2 and an overall 11-5 record and a wildcard berth. What's everyone else got?

I actually think we will beat Green Bay. Before the season started I had that game as a loss. But GB doesn't really run the ball well or defend the run all that great. I think as it gets colder, the incredible passing game & offense overall will have some bumps. Looking at the last two games last year against the Bears, their offense only put up a total 24 points (10 and 14 -taking out the BJ Raji TD nightmare). If our running game is still clicking, I think we have a good shot.

So I really think the Raider game is tough and the San Diego game is a trap game.

Overall I don't see more than two losses. How awesome would it be if the Packers stumbled at Detroit and at New York - setting up a battle royal in Green Bay for the division title!

I'm riding the 5-2 bandwagon. I would be surprised if we beat the pack or the raiders. I have a bad feeling about the raider match up. I think we will take care of business at home. I also think we can beat the tebow running machine and I expect the vikings will be too busy planning there vacations to show up for the last game.

Yea I feel the biggest two games remaining are SD and Oak and if the bears come out of it with a split I'd consider it successful. The other games (minus GB) are all favoring the bears.

I don't want to get my hopes too high about the packers stumbling but I definitely agree if the bears can get some help from other teams that match-up at the end of the year would be incredible. With two games left with Det you never know with that squad of dirty players who they may injure on the pack.

On the flip side the packers could have the division sown up by then and maybe they'll roll over like the bears did last year and give the game to the bears.

The Bears "should" win every game except the Green Bay one IMO.

However, you don't typically win every game you should win, so 5-2 makes sense, they'll drop one of the other games. I'd say the Raiders game is probably the most likely one of the group. I can't see KC or Seattle beating the Bears in Chicago.

Denver seems like a team just ready for the Bears to stomp on since the Bears struggle most against precision passing, and the Vikings will probably be ready to start the off-season by that time.

Got a feeling they'll lose one of those two AFC West road games plus the Packer game.

Oakland is the only game that scares me out of the AFC West teams. We've shown we can beat scrambling QB's like Tebow and Tebow is nowhere near VIck. Minnesota scares me a little too. The Packers is a loss but I think we play them tough.

Might be time to ask this one again if Cutler is indeed out for the regular season....or at least until the Vikings game.

Those 2 losses could turn into 3 or 4.
Turn down for what?

I still think they lose 1, 2 games max. This Oakland game will be tough, and then Green Bay on the road. You might think the Minnesota game will be tough, but that is a terrible team who looks like they have given up on the season. Peterson out too. Hanie has enough experience in the system where I don't think he will be terrible, but he could be an effective game manager, which I think will be enough to get us in the playoffs. Really, i think the only real competition for the wild card spot is Dallas. And they have a tougher schedule ahead, they play the Giants twice.

It's hard to say what this team will do with Hanie in there.

He's looked decent in the extraordinarily limited amount of time we've seen him. I suppose we'll see a bunch more Forte and have to hope the defense steps up some.

6 games left, if they can skate by at 3-3, they'll still have a good shot at the playoffs. That still seems reasonable with the remaining schedule left.

I agree, I'm thinking 3-3 now too with an outside shot at 4-2 with wins against Sea, Den, KC & the Vikings. I could see a slip up against the Vikings.
