I heard Hanie just threw another Pick 6 while updating his resume.
Not much of a chance, but its still the Packers and our defense will be up for it. I think this is a trap game for the packers....ok....I don't think that, but it could be a trap game.....ok. No it couldn't.

11.5 point underdogs. I think I'll enjoy my family on x-mas and DVR the game. Having my son whip me on WWE12 has to be more fun that witnessing this game live.
That is all.

I have to watch this game with my grandfather on Christmas, and he's a huge Packers fan who loves to brag.

GB's o-line is decimated with injuries (Clifton, Bulaga, Sherrod all out). If we can pressure Rodgers like KC did and control the clock we have a chance. Problem is, Hanie is the 3 and out (and TO) king and we can't control the clock so my thoughts mirror WEFFPIM above for the most part. I don't see GB resting many players unless they get a big lead.

ESPN Chicago reports that the Bears plan to start Josh McCown over Caleb Hanie in Week 16 against the Packers.
Enderle must really suck to not get the nod here.

You drafted Enderle and you don't want to see if he's worth a damn?
This organization is fantastic.

That's completely Lovie. He always says he wants to put the veterans in a position to win because he owes it to them. I hate it, but every NFL coach us like that. Thinking about how to win the game in front of them. You could also look at the next two games as a tryout to see if McCowen is the backup we sign for next year. If he plays well, they'll sign him to a 2 year deal I bet.

I'd prefer we just go after Orton in the offseason as our backup esp after he went out there and whupped the Packers. Then you take a flier on a QB late in the draft and let him compete with Enderle for the #3 job. Hanie then gets the boot of course. And suffice to say I wouldn't want Angelo to be the guy that does the drafting of said QB.
You're right, though, emperor - the decision to start McCown is soooo Lovie. He doesn't treat the games as tryouts despite the fact it makes perfect sense for a team that has nothing left to play for.

The problem is this team thinks they have something to play for, while anyone who's watched them over the last month realizes they're done.

You're right, but I can't really complain about that. Lovie has his teams motivated and playing all out almost every game. I can only think of a handful of times in 7 years where that wasn't the case. Probably a mentality that he's ingrained in them (and him) and can't be turned on or off. Overall that's a good thing. Here maybe not.
But as Chiewie said, put some $ into Orton & it won't matter. We've learned a lot about what we do & do t have from all these injuries.

Biggie, all I want for Xmas is a sack by Melton & Peppers. Just in it for the sacks now. Melton has a chance to lead all DTs in sacks this year.

Enjoy!
As for the Bears, Josh McNown is making Caleb look even more incompetent

Green Bay's defense is flat out awful.

Yea, they don't look like a Superbowl defense at all. Bell run hard & cuts quick. Solid backup or starter

This game was very telling.
- Are Bell and Allen that good or is the Packers run defense that bad? Everyone in the stadium knew we were going to pound the ball and they still got their yards. I was impressed.
- McCown >>> Hanie. It was obvious to anyone watching and I saw some comments from Roy Williams that made it clear he saw the difference, too. And McCown hadn't started a game in 4 years. Goodbye, Caleb.
- As decent as McCown played, I'll say that if we don't at least see Enderle take a few snaps next game, it's even more of indication he's a bum and we'll be looking for more competition in the '12 draft.
- Wow. Nice game, Bowman. You get a shot after the Bears sit Jennings going into your free agency year and that's the turd you throw up? Goodbye, Zackary. And when do we plan on scheming for the inside slant when they have the ball in the red zone? It shouldn't be THAT easy.
- And where was the pass rush? The Packers are missing their top 3 tackles and we still couldn't get a sack when it mattered?
- I think I've seen enough of Major Wright to know we need to keep looking at the safety position. When he's healthy enough to play, I find myself wishing he wasn't.
- Roach looked really really slow in this game and it was obvious that Rodgers' plan was to go right at him when he wasn't picking on Bowman.
We've got some holes, gentlemen.
