Heading into NFL franchise designations, I wanted to ask for thoughts on a rule for round 2. Round 2 will close before franchise tags are set.

If a player you have selected gets franchised by an NFL team and is thus unavailable to be signed, should you get to reset all the money you used in round 2 free agency, or just the money for the franchised player.

Total reset. It could change my entire strategy if one of my guys was franchised.

I'm leaning towards just re-using the money elsewhere because it wouldn't drastically effect my gameplan, but I also feel that it wouldn't be fair to Chewie & other guys that strategized their whole gameplan around a particular free agent.

It's possibly gonna become a slippery slope if other issues like a particular player being traded comes up, also. Maybe we can deal with all potential issues/questions in this thread before we continue.

I'll vote, but I have no problem doing it either way.

I'm leaning toward a total reset also, since NFL teams know who will be franchised before they go after any player, but I wanted to put it out there since it was not completely clear. Although it would be fun to see Chewie get stuck.

Yessir, born & raised in Chicago.

Total reset if you ask me, but I don't have a stronger opinion for either to be completely honest. I'm cool just playing the game.

I just removed the block that kept users from sending me emails. You should be able to click on my username & email me now (at least, I think that you can).

Just make sure that you put your username in the subject part, so that I know it's not one of my ex-girlfriends trying to sneak me an email .

BeKuK, I just asked Emperor in a PM how to work the contact info on this forum. Hopefully, he answers my PM & gives me the correct instructions. If it can't be done that way, I'll just post it in this thread .

Total reset. One guy getting franchised can affect your entire strategy.

Yes. Round one will close the day before the franchise tagging begins. After franchise tags, a set amount of time will be given to resubmit/update round 2 entries. No round two entries will be considered final until notice is sent out (recognizing that additional cuts/releases will occur in the NFL which will increase the free agent pool).
