lets get Trent Richardson!

Post#1 » by redhornrampage » Thu Mar 29, 2012 4:08 pm

I mean lets just start fresh. I like Forte and he can slip through holes for huge gains yes and he has huge value. Hes young too. But on the other side, Trent Richardson can potentially be a freak show in the NFL. He has that certain something, an heir of confidence that is infectious. Matt Forte is a really good RB but hes not an emotional leader.

We have Michael Bush locked up in case Richardson isnt what he hoped for. Bush is a C+ player so if we messed up royally with Trent then we wouldnt be shyt out of luck really. Meanwhile Cleveland has no RB. They def can draft Trent Richardson and he may end up being their next Jim Brown...Or he could be a total flop. But Matt Forte is not a flop. What if we traded Matt Forte and our 1st rnd draft pick for Cleveland's #4 pick in the draft?

I dunno, I just, Ive known about Trent Richardson for a few years now and last year I really got to see him play and he is freaky good. He doesnt try to hard. He seems to have that freaky ability to know where the safeties are while hes dodging linebackers. He IMO has freaky NFL potential. I just wanna see him as a Bear,

You may say "well if hes so damned good then why wouldnt Cleveland want him". Trent wasnt a full time back at Alabama and in Cleveland he would get too many carries for a rookie and they potentially could run him into the ground. Meanwhile in Chicago he would have Michael Bush to lean on in tough times. Also, Matt Forte is a seasoned veteran who also happens to have youth on his side still. Cleveland could plug him right in and potentially cure their rb position for years to come while also having a 1st rnd draft pick

what you think?

You just made an argument for why Cleveland should take him. So, why in the world would they make that deal.

Further, why when we've got a great back in Forte, give up our primary ability to upgrade our team further simply to take a shot on Richardson? If Richardson is as good as you say he can be, then in a couple years, he'll be the one holding out for an AP type deal and we're right back to square one.

If anything, we need to trade Forte for more picks.
