Heard on the score a couple weeks ago or so that the police basically can't get the accuser to cooperate or give them any more info so it's probably BS. Hub Arkush, ultimate Bears hater, insisted that it wasn't over though.

it'll never be over if Hub has anything to do with it. Lawd he is a hater. If he had his way Marshall would be hung and then shot.

In fairness, he's praised the Bears for making that move even knowing his legal troubles. But, the only reason he praises it is because he doesn't think any of our other receivers, Bennett included, should be in the league.

Help me understand here - I grew up thinking of Hub as a Bear homer so now I feel out of the loop hearing this (moving to FL will do that). What's the deal w/Hub ?

Hub was the ultimate homer and corporate yes man when he worked for Bears radio. Drove me crazy how he would bend over backwards for Dick Jaron. Seems now that he works for the Score, he and Dan Hampton lead the Bear hate. The number of times they've called and the front office idiots are uncontable.

Basically, to me it seems obvious he has an axe to grind against the organization. Couldnt listen to him as a homer (and I AM THE ULTIMATE HOMER LOL), can't listen to him as a hater.

There's something weird about Hub that I can't put my finger on. I see him make appearances on Chicago Tribune Live every now and then and he seems like a grade A a-hole.

Hub was a Bears homer - when he had a job for the Bears and plenty of connections inside the organization. When Hub got fired (2004), a couple of years after Jerry Angelo came in - Hub lost his job and his connections. Now he's just speculating like everyone else. Wouldn't be surprised if Jerry Angelo cleaned house to find all of the 'leaks'.

Very fair summary. Hub knows a lot of football and the players, but wow, he is biased to the extreme.

So really he's best at giving NFL info on every team except the team we most care about, because typically he does the other team without the huge axes to grind.

Exactly right. When he's analyzing the draft or free agency this off season it's been solid. He's been slamming the Bears this offseason (how I can't figure) - when he starts on them, I turn.

Odd. The little I've heard from Hub regarding the off-season has been glowing, with the big exception of trading for Marshall. A move, or a at least a character, he loathes.

On CTL just heard him dis the McClellin pick as too early (not a prototypical 4-3 DE) but he really blasted the Vikings for passing on Claiborne, considering the QBs and WRs Vikings will be facing.

I like Hub, but he tends to be a little bit arrogant with analysis sometimes. I know he is the inner circle with Pro Football Weekly, but god forbid the Bears don't follow the PFW draft rankings or FA rankings... like they should just fire their scouting department and buy the magazine in Hub's opinion.

Other than that though, I think he's a pretty good football analyst and even though he hates a bit harshly sometimes, I appreciate hearing his perspective.

Hub is full of himself. Dude knows a lot, no doubt, but he has looked extremely stupid at times. I remember him saying something to the effect that the Jay Cutler injury wouldn't have as big an impact as people were thinking, and dude got treated.
